"Carpool Karaoke" is back after a two-year hiatus, with Nicki Minaj as the first guest returning to the passenger seat. The "Do We Have a Problem?" rapper joined host James Corden for the popular musical segment during "The Late Late Show" on April 6, and it was certainly one for the books. While cruising around the streets of Los Angeles, they sang along to a selection of Minaj's biggest hits, including "Anaconda," "Starships," and, of course, "Super Bass." Minaj also showed off her uncanny Adele impression before rapping her verse from Kanye West's "Monster" just like Adele did on "Carpool Karaoke" back in 2016.

In between songs, Minaj opened up about her struggles with anxiety and the scrutiny she's faced as a public figure. "It's not natural for a human being to just always feel like everyone's critiquing them," she told Corden. "When I first came into the industry, I had this amazing sense of freedom, because nobody gave a sh*t about what I was doing . . . and then it goes from that to the complete opposite, where it's like if I blink my eye wrong, they'll have a story made up about why I blinked my eye that way." To protect her mental health, she tries to stay off social media and focus on her son, whom she welcomed with husband Kenneth Petty in September 2020. "I don't care what could be going on, what text just came through to my phone, or what I just saw on the internet — when I look at my son, I'm just magically in love," she said.

Through the years, Corden has teamed up with a host of talented artists for "Carpool Karaoke," from Cardi B and Harry Styles to Billie Eilish and Chance the Rapper. Niall Horan was the last star to be featured on the recurring segment before Corden took a break in March 2020 due to the pandemic. Camila Cabello is scheduled to appear on April 18, hopefully treating us to a front-seat performance of songs from her new album, "Familia."
