Russell Brand Resigns From BBC! Russell Brand has just issued a statement on BBC News 24 saying he's resigning from his BBC Radio 2 program. He said: "I have apologized to Andrew Sachs... and he has graciously accepted. As I only do the radio show to make people laugh I've decided that given the subsequent coverage I will stop doing the show."

The long awaited Britney Spears opening included a pre-taped clip with Jonah Hill before her blink-and-you'll-miss-it intro which was greeted by a touching standing ovation and
eventually three moonmen! Host Russell Brand didn't hold back when
bashing President Bush,
calling Palin a VILF and begging for Obama support. He also mocked the promise ring wearing Jonas Brothers but Jordin Sparks came to their defense and
called Brand a slut.

Russell Brand is gearing up for his big hosting gig at the
VMAs this Sunday, and he was joined by Christina and TI in LA yesterday to film a sneak peek at what we can expect. We can't wait to see what surprises are in store, but MTV has already spilled a few of their secrets in addition to the very exciting announcement that
Britney will kick things off. It's also been confirmed that
Kanye will close the show and Christina and TI will both take the stage as performers, along with presenters Shia LaBeouf, Ashlee Simpson, and Chace Crawford among others.
