The actress has been promoting Four Christmases and talking a lot about her family life as well as showing off her inner country girl charm. We love Reese's honesty and in this interview she talks about her divorce from Ryan and how she feels about marriage now that she's in a serious relationship again. Here are some highlights:

On marriage: "Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage. Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family, with people who come into your life for a reason."
On divorce: "There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy. I don’t have time for hate or negativity in my life. There’s no room for it. When you make wrong choices, you have to take responsibility for them: ‘What part of this do I own?’ I struggle to figure out what made me make those choices. All I can hope for is that I’ve learned something from it and won’t make the same choices again."

She's starting to make the rounds promoting Four Christmases, while figuring out how to juggle the holidays with Ryan and their kids. In two recent interviews, Reese's inner country girl shines through as she talks about an odd Christmas gift and how she gets her Walk the Line Oscar into the holiday spirit. Here are some highlights:

On her strangest Christmas present ever: "My dad's a doctor, and his patients used to always send him weird things because we grew up in Tennessee — so it's country. One year they sent a dead squirrel . . . as dinner. So we had it in the freezer for like three years . . . my brother and I were daring each other to touch it for like $10."
On the location of her Oscar: "I keep it in my front den. We like to dress it up for Christmas. We put a little Santa hat on it and scarf because it gets cold."
On going to her Ojai farm post-Christmas: "We feed the chickens and the pigs — I have two pigs, and boy are they really pigs. They just get down in that mud and roll around. I like getting down in there and working in the garden. Oh, I want someone to build me a good chicken coop . . . like a man who can just get down there and build it . . . ooh."

Keith didn't take home any statues but he did perform his new single to kick off the show alongside the hosts for the night, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Kid Rock brought a new edge to the show taking the stage with Lil' Wayne on the guitar. Shania Twain looked simply stunning. Country music stars came out in Nashville last night for the CMAs and to honor each other. Reese Witherspoon looked gorgeous out to present an award during the show, but she wasn't the only actress to grace the stage. Jewel looked breezy in blue while Shania Twain made her first big appearance since splitting with her husband. Carrie Underwood walked the red carpet in yellow, but as hostess of the evening had a few dress changes throughout the night before taking home another CMA. Reese has been spending lots of time with her kids recently, but still missing from the equation is Jake Gyllenhaal who is overseas filming Prince of Persia. Rumor has it that the geographic separation has been difficult on the relationship and that the two are drifting apart. Long distance relationships are never easy, but at least these two have the resources to visit each other often which hopefully eases the stress until they're back together again.
