Stars Come Out to Wish Olive Cohen a Happy 1st Birthday!

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen's little Olive celebrated her first birthday on Sunday with all of her A-List friends. Party guests including Jennifer Aniston, the Cox-Arquettes with Coco, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Ben Stiller, and Keanu Reeves came together in the Fisher-Cohen backyard. Seriously, talk about already having some clout in Hollywood at one. The soiree had a country western theme, which Isla and Sacha got right into with her braids and plaid and his bandana. From Hawaii group vacations, frequent events together and more, this group of heavy hitters always seem to be having a good time and with the comedic talent between them, there are sure to be a lot of laughs.

Last week, Ellen DeGeneres used her blog to speak out against CA Proposition 8, but last night she switched gears to host a party with Portia de Rossi in support of Prop 2. Tobey Maguire, Jared Leto and Amy Smart were just a few of the celebs that came out to support the Proposition regarding treatment of farm animals. Ellen's doing her part to stay politically active before the elections in November, but she's also been enjoying her life as a newlywed. Ellen and Portia seem blissfully in love as ever, and hopefully these ladies will still be smiling no matter what happens come election day.

They even got a special surprise visit from another cute duo — Gavin and Kingston, who were also playing the day away at the beach. I've absolutely loved hearing all about Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's wedding this past weekend and now here's the official photo and Ellen's new blog about the big news. So, so heartwarming and the women of course look gorgeous. Portia's dress is just stunning. I recommend checking out what Ellen wrote on her site since the font is very important, but she wrote:

I had a big, big weekend. I got married to Portia de Rossi! Sorry, John Stamos . . . this one’s taken.

You may notice something different about the way I’m writing . . . it’s fancy. This is the font I type in now that I’m MARRIED! I do a lot of things differently now . . . I say "I do" a lot. For example: Who wants to do pilates? I do. Would you like a Mountain Dew? I do. Do you know why I pulled you over? I do. And that was just this morning.

The wedding was everything we hoped it would be. I wish I could’ve invited all of you. But I have some pictures and video I can show you when Season 6 starts on September 8th. I can’t wait to see them too . . . it was all a blur. See you then.

There won't be an immediate honeymoon for these two since Ellen has to head back to work, but we're sure they'll head off on one of their romantic vacations when they get a chance. In the meantime, this week's issue of People has all the details on their ceremony, from the vegan menu to an exclusive interview with the newlyweds. As for settling down with her new bride, Ellen gushed and joked saying, "What can I say? I'm the luckiest girl in the world. She's officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she'll cook and clean for me."

As expected, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married Saturday afternoon. Their rep said, "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles." The women announced their engagement back in May. The wedding was attended by 19 guests including both of their mothers. Ellen and Portia both wore Zac Posen, Portia in a light pink dress and Ellen in an all-white suit. We can't wait to hear more about the happy couple and their big day, but for now a big, big congrats to the newlyweds!

The adorable couple announced back in May that they were planning to get married now that it's legal in California, and apparently the ladies are preparing to walk down the aisle this weekend! The ceremony will be small and the newlyweds will celebrate with their closest friends and family. Last week it was all about John Mayer, but this time Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were the guests of honor at Courteney Cox and David Arquette's Sunday night dinner. The to-be-wed couple accessorized with hats ducking out of the gorgeous Malibu home. Of course, happy happy Jennifer Aniston was there as well, but no man friend in sight. Despite this morning's bad news that Dirt was cancelled (boo), it looks like a lovely evening in Malibu for these famous friends.

Ellen and Portia Are Getting Married!

Yesterday while taping her show that airs today, Ellen DeGeneres made an important announcement to the audience. Just hours after the California Supreme Court overturned legislation banning same sex marriage, the talk show host announced plans to walk down the aisle with her longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi! Check out the announcement below; so sweet with Portia in the audience. Ellen also released this statement to The Advocate in response to the legislation:

I’m thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote.

Elton Does It Again With A-List Oscar Party

While the lucky and nominated were at the big Oscar show, some of the rest of the A-List partied the night away at Elton John's annual soiree to watch the awards. The shocker of the evening was that newly single Sean Penn showed up with Petra Nemcova on his arm. Seriously? Seriously. Ugh, moving on ... Elton was the ultimate host as usual to the crowd that included Kate and Len, Tara Reid, and (pregnant?) Minnie. Chace and JC Chasez are apparently BFFs these days. I'm sure these Academy Awards were a little less stressful for Ellen DeGeneres who hosted the big show last year but got to relax by Portia's side and hopefully enjoy the champagne this time around. Meanwhile, did Diddy do the red carpet at the Oscars and then drive straight to the Elton party to watch the show? While none of these party-goers went home with little gold men, they surely celebrated enough for all those who did.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were looking a little rosy cheeked (and red nosed) leaving Il Sole in LA after dinner with friends on Wednesday night. The ladies often dress as sort-of twinsies, and this was no exception with their black coats and brown shoes. Ellen had a pretty rough fall with the whole Iggy mess and then her ex-writers spreading stories about her being a bad boss, but she's come out of it smiling. Having beautiful Portia on her arm certainly can't hurt.

Glamour Celebrates Its Fabulous Women of the Year

Glamour's Women of the Year 2007 came together at NYC's Lincoln Center last night to celebrate each other. Jennifer Connelly's dress was a fabulous color while the first ever Girl of the Year, Abigail Breslin looked perfectly appropriate. Mariah performed for the big event while some of TV's finest doctors, Taye and Eric Dane (and Chief), were among the men out to honor all these fabulous ladies. The issue's cover girl Jennifer Garner celebrated her night off from Broadway and pulled off a dress that most women could not, but didn't walk the red carpet with Ben. In the magazine Jennifer talks about why that is. She said:

We’ve worked really hard not to be one of those couples who are constantly in the limelight. In the past we’ve both been the kind of people who go along with things—if you’re supposed to be photographed together, you don’t question it. But how does that help your relationship? So now we refuse to walk the red carpet together: It’s a way of not condoning the attention. Plus, it just feels silly to be in that situation with him: Ben was nominated for a Golden Globe [for 2006’s Hollywoodland]. I remember being photographed next to him and thinking, This is ridiculous. You’re not some actor; you’re my husband.

While I fully appreciate her persepective, I can admit that I would love to see them walk together every once in a while. Even (or as it turns out, especially) without, they're certainly one of the cutest and most real marriages in Hollywood. A big big congrats to all the wonderful and inspiring women both winning the honors and attending the event last night. Claps, claps.

Musicians, actors and supermodels joined Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton to celebrate the opening of Takashi Murakami's new exhibit in LA. Marc was still rocking the blue hair from Kate Hudson's party on Saturday night, but sadly he left his cheerleader costume at home. Also, debuting a new hair color was Christina Ricci, who lightened up her jet black locks. Bella wants to know which you prefer — light or dark haired Christina? And speaking of hair, isn't Portia looking a little too Rachel Zoe? The busiest man in showbiz, Ryan Seacrest, found time to support Marc and Takashi. In not so shocking news, Kanye West performed at the party...because he will literally perform anywhere these days...someone hire him for a company holiday party please.

Ellen Wins Daytime Emmy Awards, Rosie Gets Honorable Mentions

Friday night brought out TV's hottest daytime stars for the 34th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Chandra Wilson and Vivica A. Fox were all about color while Tyra was all about being noticed with the biggest gown ever. Ellen and Portia, our favorite female couple on the red carpet looked amazing and Ellen ruled the evening scoring trophies for Best Talk Show and Best Host. This was Ellen's 4th time in a row winning these awards, but she really thought Rosie should have walked away with the recognition. She said, "I liked what she did. This was the year she should have won. I wanted to acknowledge Rosie because she has done a lot. ... I don't know who should replace her but I don't think it should be Paris Hilton. That would not work." Good call Ellen!

Bob Barker picked up his 19th Emmy and spoke about Rosie as well at the awards. Backstage he said, "I believe they're going to have a meeting with Rosie. She knows the show, there's no doubt in my mind she could do the show. Now, whether they want a lady host, I don't know. I've never heard that discussed. As far as I know, they've only auditioned men." The show won't be the same without Bob, but Rosie is ready for a new job and she would certainly bring a whole new edge to Price is Right!
