Last week Penelope Cruz showed off Vicky Cristina Barcelona with Woody Allen by her side, but starting Monday it was back to playing Pedro Almodovar's muse in Spain. She looked fabulous and chic in her sundresses and shades as she chatted with the director between takes of Broken Embraces. Apparently Penelope and Pedro have their pick of beautiful Spanish landscapes to shoot in, but pretty Penelope is still sure to stand out in her surroundings.

Pretty Penelope Cruz got up close and personal with director Pedro Almodovar (and some other castmates) at a photocall for their new movie Broken Embraces in Madrid on Friday. Penelope and Pedro have been BFFs and co-workers for a while now, but we'd rather see her locking lips with her man Javier instead. Luckily Javier will be side by side with Pedro's muse again pretty soon — that is, if he's feeling well rested enough to hit the Cannes Film Festival with his lady.

Fresh from the Oscars, Penelope once again looked fabulous as she walked the red carpet at Fotogramas Magazine Awards in Madrid. As always, she looked thrilled to be reunited with her favorite director and good friend Pedro Almodovar and pal Leonardo Sbaraglia, though you told us yesterday you would love to see her with Orlando. Expect to see lots more of Penelope abroad in the coming months. 
Evidently there were other awards shows this weekend other than the Oscars. The French have their own version of the Academy Awards called the Cesars and that's where a few famous faces ended up on Saturday night. Hilary Swank was on hand as well as Jude Law who won a special achievement award. RSS Feed
