Last night in Pasadena stars came out to grace the red carpet and stage at the 2008 Alma Awards. Once again, Eva Longoria played host for the night and showed off a few costume changes like she did at last year's awards. Jessica Alba didn't have Cash with her to gaze lovingly like Eva and Tony, but she lit up the red carpet all the same continuing her smiley weekend. America Ferrera took home Entertainer of the Year while Shakira was named Humanitarian of the Year. Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale were on hand to present a special achievement award to High School Musical 2 director Kenny Ortega. Country Music Loves Its Little Ladies

Last night's Country Music Television Awards were more about glamor than sequins, but there was certainly still a lot of glitz and fun in the Nashville night. Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus hosted the evening which included a lot of costume changes for the starlet. Adorable little Taylor Swift took home Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year, while Kellie Pickler (really!? She didn't even show!) took home three statues, the most of the night. Taylor spent much of the night barefoot saying, "I walked by Faith Hill and I was like, 'This hurts so bad.' And she was like, 'Take them off,' Faith Hill told me to. So I did it." She's pretty precious and speaking of that, kinda love Carrie Underwood who closed out the show with "American Girl." Check out the full list of winners here.

Nashville rolled out the purple carpet for the finest in country music last night. Nicole and her barely showing baby bump supported her husband Keith Urban who was the opening act. Faith Hill looked a little lost in her all black ensemble but that hubby Tim McGraw's hat was a helpful distraction. As for the younger ladies, Carrie Underwood looked perfect in purple. This American Idol is well beyond being known as the reality TV contestant. Miley Cyrus continues to be everywhere. This was her first of many outfits throughout the evening as the host and performer. Taylor Swift was looking like a princess and the young star was also the big winner last night.

Idol Gives Back brought out quite the crowd from all different areas of the entertainment industry for the taping in Hollywood last night. Reese and Brad shared their pretty faces with the audience, while Mariah and Miley were among the musical performers of the night. Teri showed off her pipes (even though most of you wish she wouldn't) and Fergie took the stage to do a song with Heart. As for the theme of the night, Carrie Underwood summed it up nicely, saying, "It's not about self-promoting. It's not about singing your latest single. It's not about trying to be the most-downloaded whatever on iTunes. It's all about getting people to call in and do something." The charitable special airs this Wednesday, and we can't wait to check out the wonderful edition of one of our favorite shows.

Sigh, the Super Bowl happened yesterday. My own pouting aside, the festivities were fun — and most of you all were rooting for the Giants anyway, so I'm (begrudgingly) happy for all you fans. Heh. Keeping it in the Fox family, there was a big Idol presence at the show between Paula and Randy's pre-show music video/performance and Ryan Seacrest's red carpet. Yes, there was a red carpet at the Super Bowl. Among the celebrities in the house were Kate Hudson sitting alongside Patriots owner Bob Kraft, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy wearing no gear to indicate which side they were rooting for, Nick Lachey and, of course, Gisele Bundchen, who has a battered quarterback to console. A Night with American Idol

Last night we said goodbye to Leslie (thank you America), AJ and Nick and cutie Alaina. We also said hello to Kellie Pickler's new look or should I say, chest. Greasy Brandon Ruins Paris' Latest Birthday Party

Disappointed with the turn out at her Vegas birthday, Paris had to throw star-studded birthday attempt number two in LA this weekend. Unfortunately for the heiress, this one didn't go quite as planned either. Everything was going fine -- her parents spent a bundle on the set-up, her more famous friends were around -- until about 10 o'clock when an obviously intoxicated Brandon Davis started attacking Paris' more famous guests. Here's more:

He was hurling flowers at Paula Abdul," says a guest. "Then he began bombing her with Styrofoam flower-holders. He was shouting, 'Lick my [BLEEP], Paula!' He started mocking her ancestry by speaking gibberish in an Arabic accent.

"Stavros and Paris tried to stop him. Paris said, 'Shut up, you're wasted!'" But it was too late. Abdul, who was due to sing "Happy Birthday," made an early exit.

Davis then turned his dim beams on Love. "He lifted her up so that she was straddling his waist," says a witness. "Her Chanel dress was riding up. Brandon was saying, 'I want to squirt on you.' He was humping Courtney in front of her daughter, Frances Bean. When he put her down, Courtney grabbed Frances and they marched out of the restaurant through the kitchen."

It didn't stop there. "He was knocking over glasses and candles on the table," says a source. "Paris was crying to her mother, 'This is not my fault!'"

After Davis was told to leave, Paris moved her guests to an after-party at her house where he showed up again! Luckily, security were under orders to keep him away from her so she could enjoy what was left of her guests (Paula and Courtney opted out). We just don't understand why Paris is still friends with Brandon. After this she might think twice about inviting him to her next birthday (or anywhere else for that matter)!
