Mariah and Nick Know How to Stay in Love

Before partying for Nick Cannon's birthday earlier this week, he and Mariah got to work filming her new music video for "I Stay in Love" in Las Vegas. Mariah had no problem rocking teeny shorts and a tank top to keep cool in the desert heat as Nick played both director and supportive husband. Between those boots and hot car, it seems like we can expect another typically steamy video from Mariah.

Mariah Gives Nick a Pure Birthday in Sin City

Nick Cannon turned 28 today and Mariah got the fun started last night with a birthday party for him at Pure in Las Vegas. She slipped into a typically tiny black dress and put to rest any pregnancy rumors with her glass of wine as Nick played DJ and gave her plenty of shout outs. Their trip hasn't been all play though — the couple came to Vegas on Saturday to film Mariah's new music video for "I Stay in Love," which Nick directed. With Mariah now her own manager and putting her husband to work, it looks like these two are taking on more projects together other than just kissing for the cameras.

Mariah and Her Bikinis Head on Honeymoon No. 2 With Nick

After celebrating their wedding again with a lavish Hamptons party over the weekend, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon headed off on Honeymoon No. 2, this time to Italy. The Saturday night soiree was hosted by LA Reid and attended by celebrity guests including Gwyneth Paltrow, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Ripa and Samuel L. Jackson and got so wild it even included a visit from the cops after a noise complaint. From there, it was right off to yachting in Italy for the newlyweds — on a boat that apparently has lots of fitness equipment. Rightfully, it looks like this vacation was more about that wine in hand and splashing around than keeping those figures looking so great.

Mariah Carey dressed a little more demure than her crazy pastel TRL ensemble — but, hey now, still skintight — out in NYC yesterday on the way to her BET 106 & Park appearance. Nick had her hand and apparently all her things as he escorted her around town. The newlyweds just added another commitment to their itinerary as Mariah is set to perform at Fashion Rocks. She also says that she's gearing up for an elaborate tour to kick off this Winter. I think it's safe to assume that Mr. Mariah Carey will be there cheering his wife on the whole time as he's proven himself happy to do these days.

Nick Cannon took Mariah Carey — or you know, vice versa — on a date to Nobu in Malibu last night looking as giddy as they did on their honeymoon. While Mariah was stunning in her Summer white ensemble, Nick sent a message with his t-shirt to all the people who are still skeptical about the newlyweds. These lovebirds might make for an unlikely pairing, but they both seem pretty happy so maybe it was a good thing Nick kidnapped Mariah after all.

Mariah and Nick can't seem to separate for even a minute these days, but we have to admit that the photo of them together is pretty adorable. In the article, Mariah talks a little about her album and the man in her life. Here are highlights:

On how she let Nick save her: “When I was in an unhappy place in my life. I always wanted to be kidnapped. I just wanted a way out, but I didn't have one. [Nick] sort of kidnapped me and took me on a helicopter ride. Then he re-proposed."
On their impulsive wedding: "We really kept the whole relationship aspect of it quiet. Therefore, we didn't really 'date,' you know what I mean? Because that would have been not quiet or private. I think we didn't want to give people a chance to be like, 'What are you doing? What are you talking about? This is so quick…are you sure?'"
On her album: "Much of this album is just jokes, whether they're inside jokes or pretty overt; but some people don't want to actually acknowledge that I might tell a joke while singing a song or make it the actual hook.”

While some people may be skeptical of her relationship with Nick Cannon, it sounds like Mariah's career and love life are pretty blissful at the moment.

Mariah Carey wrapped that bikini body of hers up in a towel and grabbed hold of her husband Nick Cannon's hand on a break from shooting her "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" video in Oahu, HI, yesterday. Unfortunately, it looks like the singer may have hurt herself while on set — heels plus water plus prancing around in a bikini sounds like it could be a recipe for disaster. We caught a glimpse of her in one skimpy suit, but seeing those pink straps means that there's at least one costume change. Not that we would expect anything less from Mimi, especially now. MGM Grand opened its newest outpost at Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Connecticut on Saturday night, bringing out some big names and Grammy winners. John Mayer looks like he got another haircut between lovefests with Jennifer Aniston before taking the stage in his home state with Alicia Keys. Diddy was in the house to celebrate Diddy's Den, a VIP party set up for the event. Jenny McCarthy didn't have Jim by her side, but she looked sexy all solo on her way into enjoy the new casino. Looks like John has a new getaway spot when he decides to bring Jennifer home to see his native state, wink.

Mariah called it a "stone smash" while Nick said, "It's a beautiful situation . . . carrying on and on each day." Well, show off might be a bit strong, but it's hard to miss it when it's got that much bling — click on the photo to see a bigger image of it. Paparazzi and fans swarmed around Nick Cannon to catch a glimpse of that band of diamonds after his surprising, and apparently surprisingly well planned out, wedding to Mariah last week. We got a look at the new Mrs. on their honeymoon, but the newlyweds have yet to venture out together. Here's to hoping that when they do, we not only get to see those matching rings, but the tattoos — hers is Mrs. Cannon in a butterfly on the small of her back, his is a giant Mariah from shoulder to shoulder — too.

If there was still any question about whether or not Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon really tied the knot in the Bahamas last week, the latest issue of People should quiet any skeptics left out there.

The cover features the couple in their white wedding attire, veil and all, and there's plenty of gushing inside the magazine. Mariah said, "We really do feel we are soul mates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me," while Nick raved, "She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside." Sounds like these two don't have any regrets about their seemingly impulsive decision, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness even if most of you don't see it lasting in the long run. Their honeymoon is about to come to an end, but this is just the beginning for these newlyweds.

Just yesterday we reported the rumor that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are engaged, and apparently the couple have already tied the knot?! Latina Magazine reports that Mariah and Nick eloped to an island yesterday, obviously it was "very implusive." Neither of the couple's reps have confirmed the nuptials yet so take this all with a huge grain of salt, but if the rumors are true — congrats to the newlyweds!
