Emmy Awards Reality Hosts Get Black and Blue and Boo

Oprah wowed in red as she opened the show after the cool What's my line? clip but unfortunately following her was the reality hosts talking about nothing. It was almost as uncomfortable as watching Ricky Gervais ask for his Emmy back from Steve Carell. Yes it was funny but I was getting a bit worried that Steve was going to cry or beat the crap out of him. Other quick thoughts: Steve Martin, Genius. Josh Groban, surprisingly cool! Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth, favorite presenting couple. Cruel joke that was perfect — making reality TV host category wait until after the commercial break to see who won. Desperate Housewives all dolled up. Yay Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Mad Men! Click here for all the winners from last night. As for next year, let's hope the Emmys settle on one host since this year's group was like an experiment gone bad... even if some of Tom Bergeron and Heidi Klum's banter was pretty entertaining — that huge black and blue mark is going to hurt tomorrow.

Stars Perform for a Good Cause at A Night At Sardi's A whole host of stars from the acting world came out yesterday to attend, and perform at, the 16th Annual Alzheimer's benefit A Night At Sardi's in Beverley Hills. Ugly Betty's Becki Newton and Vanessa Williams performed numbers from Bye, Bye Birdie, which was directed by Seinfeld's Jason Alexander, as did Heroes' Kristen Bell and Zachary Quinto.

Perhaps we spoke too soon about the serious level of this new Michelle Pfeiffer/Ashton Kutcher movie, Personal Effects. The two were back to filming in Vancouver yesterday where Ashton traded in his business suit for a yellow chicken one. For some reason Michelle doesn't look entirely amused by the vision in front of her. Ashton's all grown up, married, a step-father, making his way with a legit movie career, but still seeing him in a bright yellow bird costume just doesn't seem all that far fetched.

We've been seeing a lot of George and his new girlfriend Sarah Larson these days and it definitely makes us cringe to think of Clooney as off the market for good. Yet there's also a part of us that would love to see him settled down and have some beautiful babies. We're not the only ones who have been making predictions about George's love life — he's betting with Hollywood's leading ladies about not getting married again. He has one with Michelle Pfeiffer where she said, "I bet him he would get married and he keeps inflating the bet from 100 dollars to 100,000 dollars. I still think he will, he's a handsome devil." He also has an ongoing bet with Nicole Kidman. So now the question is, can Sarah deal with being with a man that refuses to get married or will she convince him otherwise?

It was all about the blondes on the green carpet last night at the premiere of Stardust in London. Sienna left her tattoo twin at home, and went with a simple LWD while Michelle continued to wow us by aging backwards in her LBD. Claudia Schiffer may have skipped the LDs entirely, but made it clear that she's still hot in her tight pantsuit. They may have left their men at home, but obviously these ladies have no problem shining all by themselves.

She also had the support of cutie Paul Rudd (who co-stars in her upcoming movie, I Could Never Be Your Woman). Michelle made sure to pay tribute to her mother, saying "There are so many people that go into the making of an actor's career, and first and foremost I want to thank my mother, who isn't here right now." This is a long overdue honor in our opinion, but we're just glad to see the ageless beauty finally get the recognition that she deserves.

Stars Sprinkle A Little Bit of Stardust Around LA

It was a fabulous Sunday night in LA at the Stardust premiere. Michelle Pfeiffer outdid herself yet again looking amazing in blue (and with some hot hot shoes), but I'm torn on whose dress I love more, hers or Claire's dangerously low backed number. Meanwhile, up and comer Kate Mara (from 24) rounded out the set of beautiful women with her laid back hair. Age is a big part of the film, and Danes had this to say on the red carpet about people's obsession with looking young, "I understand the anxiety of aging. It seems like death is avoidable via Botox. And if youth means looking like Michelle Pfeiffer, who wouldn't want to hold onto that?" She's got that right, but it takes more than a little Botox to be Michelle Pfeiffer gorgeous.

Michelle Surprises Everyone, Including Herself

Another gorgeous day for Michelle Pfeiffer, doing the rounds to promote Hairspray, this time stopping off at The Today Show to chat about the film. Lately I've been in awe at how incredible (and youthful) she looks, and Michelle says that she's been shocking herself too, recently, only with her ability to branch out with this movie. Here's what she had to say on the show:

“I’m surprised that I’m funny. I don’t consider myself funny.”
“I’m grateful that people think [Hairspray] is against my type. I guess it’s nice to surprise yourself and to surprise others and to venture into dangerous territory. Certainly, it wasn’t within my comfort zone, the character. Even though I’ve done ‘Grease 2’ and I’ve done ‘Baker Boys,’ this was for me the first real musical that I was considered for.” Committing to the role, she admitted, “was a little scary. That’s why I wanted to do it. It was a lot of fun.”

I must admit, I was resistant to this movie but the more I hear about it and see how much fun it looks -- I just can't help but get kind of excited for it. Check back on Friday to see Buzz's review of the movie!

Hairspray Can't Stop The Beat In NYC, With Katie Holmes Surprise!

It was the LBD brigade at last night's NYC premiere of Hairspray. Michelle once again looked absolutely phenomenal. What is it about her -- lucky lucky eternally 25! It's always a treat to see the stars of the film, but Holy Katie Holmes! Yowza! She surprised the crowd just by showing up, but seeing her in that skin tight little number is what is more shocking for me. I do love seeing her with little Suri all the time, but youthful happy Katie is awesome to see, too. All the other ladies -- Amanda, Nikki, Queen -- looked outstanding as well, especially little Brittany Snow who looks a whole lot better than last week's too yellow number. Queen Latifah stood out last night at the Hairspray premiere with her bold new look. Bella wants to know if you love or hate Latifah's new blonde do. There was a lot of competition among the young Hollywood starlets last night. Which Hairspray PYT do you think looks the most fab? Teen heart throb Zac Efron had a huge smile on his face. Could it be due to his latest movie deal, a remake of Footloose? Guess who he will play? Lots of excitement going on with this group even though the movie doesn't open up until July 20th.

Hairspray Swings Into LA

It was a mix of long time A-Listers and up-and-coming superstars at last night's LA premiere of Hairspray. Even with young blood on the red carpet, Michelle Pfeiffer stole the show! Yowza! Meanwhile, Efron still can't seem to lay off the the tanner, but it's a less dire situation than last week in London, maybe thanks to his precious girlfriend Vanessa? Kelly Preston went over the top and, sigh, John Travolta makes me long for days back when just looking at him didn't make me uncomfortable -- Face/Off anyone? As for Hairspray, I'm wondering whether the kids will be coming out to see their favorite Disney Channel stars in action on the big screen.

John Gets Back to his Roots with Hairspray

Last night, the whole Hairspray cast was on hand to show off their film at at ShoWest in Las Vegas. John Travolta, a seriously hot Michelle Pfeiffer, Brittany Snow and newcomer Nicole Blonsky hammed it up on the red carpet in celebration of the remake of John Waters' 1998 classic cult film (and recent Broadway hit). In the movie, Travolta gets back to his musical roots, something he hasn't done for 30 years (the dancing in Pulp Fiction not withstanding), but this role is a far cry from his Saturday Night Fever Days. In case you missed it, John had to gear up in a fat suit and drag for this role. Sounds like a perfectly campy John Waters remake!

Gwen's Inspiration

Gwen is getting ready to unveil her spring collection on Friday when she gets her turn to show off at Fashion Week. It turns out Gwen was inspired by the lovely Michelle Pfeiffer when creating her line. Here's more:

"I was thinking about Michelle Pfeiffer in ‘Scarface,'" Gwen confessed. "I just think she was so chic and so beautiful in that whole film."

The "Hollaback Girl" told us she really loves her newest role as mommy.

"It's been really fun having Kingston," she said. "I've been spending the last three months with him hanging out, but then also getting back in the studio."

There's no doubt everybody will be talking come Friday when the diva fashionista officially unveils her ultra-trendy spring collection, which will include a new sexy line of bags and shoes.

Gwen and Gavin are looking lovely, but Kingston is my favorite member of the family. What a little doll all passed out on his mommy's shoulder! Ahhh.... more pics so just

Who knew Babs, Matt Damon and Mariah would ever end up on the same list together? Big month for Matty who just welcomed a baby girl as well. We look forward to seeing pictures of him on the set of Oceans 13 next month.
