Mary-Louise Parker and LL Cool J took some time out earlier this week to visit The Today Show and read to children attending Jumpstart's Read for the Record event in New York City. The actress and her little friend waved for the cameras on a break from the book. MLP has two kids of her own, but apparently her on-screen son Hunter Parrish is basically family at this point too.

Lots of stars from Showtime were out in NYC last night to celebrate the upcoming premieres of Dexter and Californication. Michael C. Hall and Evan Handler were on hand to celebrate their respective programs, while Mary-Louise Parker came out to support her network-mates.

The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night — smiley, happy and healthy. Mary Louise Parker was the most eye catching of all in her bright blue number though you all were fairly divided on the look while Brooke Shields lived up to the name of her show in Lipstick pink.

New York Fashion Week kicked off today, which means there were plenty of celebs on hand to support the designers. Kate Hudson smiled big with Rachel Zoe at the launch of her new show, while Audrina showed that LC, Whitney, and Heidi aren't the only Hills fashionistas. We watched as Charlize and Stuart got totally mobbed by paparazzi and had the awesome opportunity to chat with Agyness Deyn, as well as the beautiful Lindsay Price — check out our blog over on Elle.
