Kate Hudson and Fergie have been busy filming
Nine in London, but yesterday they took a break for dinner at Cipriani with a few of their fellow costars. It must be fun hanging out and making new friends, and judging from Kate's big grin, there's been plenty of laughs to be had during their time overseas. While we can't wait to see the eclectic cast showing off their skills for the musical movie, for now the girls seem to be having a ball just hanging out and
enjoying London's nightlife.

Straight from the on-stage high to the press room with their newest hand weight,
all the winners were happy to pose with their
Oscars last night. All the acting winners — Javier, Daniel, Marion and Tilda – were shining as bright as their awards while the Coen brothers each walked off with an armload. The presenters also stopped to pose for the cameras without statues, but still glamorous nonetheless.

The
Vanity Fair annual Hollywood Issue photo shoot is especially cool this year as a whole slew of famous actors posed to recreate classic shots from Alfred Hitchcock movies. Some of my personal favorites include Seth Rogan doing North by Northwest Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. in To Catch A Thief and the Scarlett Johansson/Javier Bardem duo doing Rear Window.

Yesterday afternoon in LA, this year's
Oscar nominees got together for a little luncheon to start celebrating themselves. While the show is still in limbo due to the writers' strike, the good news that there have been
"breakthroughs" in negotiations keep us hoping that all will be good well before the red carpet kicks off. 2008 Award Season staples Javier Bardem and Casey Affleck were back in suits alongside
Juno's Diablo Cody and Ellen Page (who still looks a tad uncomfortable on the red carpet).

The
Santa Barbara Film Festival is still bringing out the stars. First I marveled at the cavalcade of hot guys —
Gosling,
Bardem,
Reynolds — and last night some of the year's biggest breakout stars all trekked out for the party. It was the 2008 Virtuosos Tribute with Casey Affleck, Amy Ryan, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, and James McAvoy, all awards show staples this season.
