TRL Says Goodbye With JT, Diddy, Beyonce and More

TRL had its final moments last night with a show bringing back the biggest stars who ever stopped by the Times Square studio. Beyonce kicked it off with a performance that included the classic "Crazy in Love" but sadly no Jay-Z cameo. Carson Daly returned for the show, as did Diddy, who made the most appearances of any celebrity. Justin stopped by to make fun of his frosted tips while Kid Rock smoked his cigar all throughout his performance. Of course, the streets were crowded with one last group of screaming fans that got to watch Fall Out Boy (without Pete Wentz) perform to help complete the show. Even Jesse Camp stopped by with Wanna Be a VJ runner up David Holmes. After a little more than ten years on the air, they counted down its most crucial videos of its history ending with Britney's ". . .Baby One More Time" at No. 1. It was a fitting way to finish off as we all say one more goodbye to TRL.

Carrie and Brad Make the CMAs a Nashville Night to Remember

The red carpet was fun, but the real action happened on stage at last night's CMA Awards. Reese was out to present Brad Paisley the award for Male Vocalist of the Year while Nicole Kidman left Keith's side for a minute to give out a statue alongside her Australia costar Hugh Jackman. Keith didn't take home any statues but he did perform his new single to kick off the show alongside the hosts for the night, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Kid Rock brought a new edge to the show taking the stage with Lil' Wayne on the guitar. Shania Twain looked simply stunning. Carrie, who showed off many gorgeous gowns, scored Female Vocalist of the Year, but the night's big winner was Kenny Chesney once again — see the full list of winners here. The 42nd CMA Awards kept things fun, youthful and interesting out to perform and celebrate another year in country music together.

Nashville Lights Up With Bright Colors on the CMA Red Carpet

Country music stars came out in Nashville last night for the CMAs and to honor each other. Reese Witherspoon looked gorgeous out to present an award during the show, but she wasn't the only actress to grace the stage. Nicole Kidman took the stage too, but her first priority was supporting her performing and nominated husband Keith Urban. Jewel looked breezy in blue while Shania Twain made her first big appearance since splitting with her husband. Carrie Underwood walked the red carpet in yellow, but as hostess of the evening had a few dress changes throughout the night before taking home another CMA. While guys like Kid Rock may have dressed a little more country, it was all glam for the ladies on the red carpet.

Country Stars Win Medals Galore at BMI Country Awards

If tonight's CMA Awards are the main event, last night's BMI Country Awards were an excellent taste of what to expect. Stars of the genre gathered in Nashville last night to hand out some medals. Nicole and Keith traded off nights being honored and this time it was his turn. Miley Cyrus may not have walked home with a medal, but she did have a trophy on her arm — her man Justin Gaston. The night's big winner was Taylor Swift, who scored country song of the year for "Teardrops on My Guitar." Carrie Underwood decorated her dress with a medal as well, but hopefully got a good night's rest before the big event in a few hours.

Hollywood Heats Up the World Music Awards

It was a star-studded night in Monaco on Sunday as celebrities got dressed up and headed overseas to the 2008 World Music Awards. As expected, Lindsay Lohan was no longer the host so Jesse Metcalf and Michelle Williams (the Destiny's Child one) took her place. Beyonce Knowles had her metal glove on while she performed and accepted an award and her sister, Solange, took the stage to sing as well. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon posed for the cameras while Chace Crawford presented a trophy to Kid Rock who won multiple times and performed as well. The big winners were Coldplay with three and Leona Lewis with two including best new artist and best pop female.

The Men Get Dapper in Black and White for VMAs

They may not get to be as colorful, but the men managed to keep things interesting at the VMAs. Chris Brown was a stand out having a blast on the red carpet handing out hugs to all his friends he ran into along the way like Lupe Fiasco who was gearing up for his big performance. Chris Brown's performance last year still has people gushing, but the topic of the night was Britney. Everyone was super excited to see her hit the stage again, well, other than Kid Rock who made it very clear that's not why he was looking forward to the show. In fact, he told us he was most excited just to see which performers lip-synced versus actually singing.

Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado schmoozed their way down the press line while Cisco Adler and Schwayze talked a big game about their secret upcoming movie project and their crazy summer touring. Perhaps the loudest screams came near the end of the red carpet when Michael Phelps showed up, though sadly he didn't have time before the show to make it down the whole press line.

Fergie was nice enough to share her 33^rd birthday with Quentin Tarantino, but there was plenty of spotlight for both stars in Vegas last night. After a fun day hanging out poolside, Cirque du Soleil, and cupcakes, Fergie and Quentin headed to Jet Nightclub to party the night away with their friends. Adorable Josh was there of course, and Kid Rock showed off his DJ skills for the birthday girl and boy. The night ended when Fergie and Quentin started a food fight with the big fancy cake that rolled out around 2:30 a.m. Fergie said, “we wanted to do something that was crazy and a lot of fun", and it looks like they both got their birthday wishes this year.

Kid Rock Makes Amends With Waffle Houses Everywhere

Between his VMA scuffle with Tommy Lee and arrest back in October, Kid Rock had his fair share of troublemaking last year, but yesterday he took a big step toward making things right. Kid headed to yet another Waffle House in Georgia to sign autographs and meet fans at a fundraiser for a homeless shelter in the same county where he was arrested. Sounds like Kid is learning the error of his immature behavior, saying, "The whole situation before was kind of silly. We just thought after that unfortunate incident we'd try to do something silly but something more positive." Hopefully this means Kid has learned his lesson and will try harder to keep that mug out of the police station from now on.

Grammy's 50th Kept on Going and Going and Going

Many of the ladies on the red carpet had the chance to change outfits since they performed and presented as well. In fact, during some parts of the show the beautiful boys like John Mayer and John Legend were simply background fodder to Alicia Keys and Fergie's fabulous voices. We were especially excited to see Alicia getting down in an age appropriate outfit that made her shine. Kanye's touching performance to his mother also included a shockingly obvious hint to the orchestra to stop the send off music so he could thank his mom when he won for Best Rap Album.

Tina and Beyonce shook things up in their tight hot silver numbers (Tina, you still got it but the Posh wanna-be outfit was a bit much). Carrie Underwood changed into a hot little black number with sexy boots while Rihanna kept it playful with her fun feathery dress. The most anticipated performance of the night definitely belonged to Amy Winehouse who also won big. Her mom even stood by her side while she accepted Record of the Year. Overall, the performances were great and even though this was a special Grammy year - turning 50 and all - we hope next year they can keep the show to under 3 hours. That was certainly a long one folks.

MTV rang in the New Year with another star-studded party in their studio overlooking Times Square. Not only did the revelers have a prime spot to view the ball drop, but they were treated to performances by Kid Rock (with Rev Run), Mary J. Blige, Good Charlotte and more. I guess that means Joel didn't get to start the new year with a kiss from Nicole, but I'm sure he'll make up for it back in LA. Cutie VJ Damien Fahey looked dapper in his three piece suit for the big night. The hostess of the party was Tila Tequila, who took the opportunity to announce that her first shot at love didn't work out and she's doing another season of her reality dating show. Who's excited?

For the second year in a row, Kid Rock spent his Christmas performing for US troops overseas. This time he was joined by fellow celebrities such as Robin Williams, Lance Armstrong, Lewis Black, and Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith for an eight-day, seven-country tour. It's great to see that Kid was back again this year showing his support for all our forces overseas and joined by such a stellar group of stars. We love these celebrities even more when they're spending time bringing love and entertainment overseas. Of course, our thoughts, hearts, and holiday wishes go out to every single one of our troops. Sexy Men and Sweethearts Sing Their Hearts Out

AMA winner Fergie opened the show last night with a medley of her latest and greatest hits. It was a strong start for a show that definitely included some memorable performances including glow in the dark dancer, Chris Brown and Rihanna who looked way better on stage than on the red carpet. Beyonce dressed down when she joined Sugarland for a duet of her hit Irreplaceable. Sexy Lenny (yes I have a huge thing for him) wore his usual all black as he sang a soon to be hit song from his new album. My favorite performance of the night was Alicia Keys (check out the video below). Not only was her voice killer but the songs she mixed together definitely got the crowd on their feet. She is a wonderful performer and even if I'm not used to seeing her do choreographed dance moves, she pulled it off. We have a feeling her album is going to knock Jay-Z off the top spot this week.

We already checked out all the red carpet looks and now it's time to get down to the show at last night's Country Music Awards in Nashville. The big winners of the night were Carrie Underwood, who won Female Vocalist of the Year for the second year in a row and Single of the Year for "Before He Cheats," and for the guys Kenny Chesney who won Entertainer of the Year, and Brad Paisley, Male Vocalist of the Year. Check out the full list of winners here. An unexpected highlight for me was Kellie Pickler who got pretty emotional during her song, and on a random note Jamie Foxx's appearance. Meanwhile, I was expecting a whole lot of Jessica Simpson all over the CMAs and she was apparently in the auditorium, but kept herself out of the spotlight — she's more serious about country music than another photo op. Ha. Did any of you watch the show? Favorite moments? Shockers?

A Little Bit Country a Lot Glam on the CMA Red Carpet

It was jeans for some (Kid Rock, of course) and gowns for others at last night's 41st Annual Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. Nicole Kidman definitely brought the most bang to the red carpet in her bold dress — sure it looks a little like one of those cheesy college dorm felt-y posters, but it's not like she can't pull it off. Carrie Underwood looked typically great while fellow former Idol-er Kellie Picker looked surprisingly demure for her. I must admit that Kate Walsh looked pretty smokin', finding a way to be on our ABC Wednesday night even when Private Practice was preempted for these awards.
