Even as he gets older, Johnny never loses his appeal, so it's no wonder that he's breaking records with his paychecks and still topping lists as the sexiest man alive. Even if Vanessa Paradis doesn't have plans to marry Johnny, the two adore each other and their family, which seems to be influencing Johny's movie choices these days. This isn't the first time Johnny has reunited with the band for a good cause and last night they were out to honor their former manger, Sheila Witkin, with proceeds going to the Dan Marino Foundation. Have to love how much he's channeling the high school grunge garage band look with his plaid shirt around his waist as he sweated and jammed his way through the set. Vanessa Paradis and their daughter Lily Rose were in the audience to watch dad get back to his youth for a good cause. Pretty hot, right?

Johnny Depp was showing off some quirky outfits both on and off the set of Public Enemies in LA yesterday. When he wasn't on camera, Johnny was clean shaven but showing off that armful of tattoos with one of his standard flannels around his waist. Back into character, he sported a neon tie and gross 'stache — seems a silly departure from the gangster wardrobe we've been getting a few sneak peeks at. We spent two hours watching movie plug after movie plug at the MTV Movie Awards last night, and while the show had some funny shining moments, we still missed the spoofs. We actually expected a lot more Love Guru so I was thrilled to see the return of Wayne and Garth instead (yay for Dana Carvey!). The stars of the night were Johnny Depp who proved his acting range as he humbly racked up awards for Best Villain and Best Comedic Performance, and the Tropic Thunder boys who got their laughs with funny banter and Iron Man idolization.

Adam Sandler didn't disappoint us with his tribute song to himself (and adorable shirt and speech!). Tom Cruise gave him the award and while we're loving seeing Katie here, we missed her on the red carpet. Coldplay rocked out to a new tune, which only made us even more excited for their new album. Looks like Rihanna and Chris were enjoying themselves in the audience, but what did you think about the show? Were you happy with all the winners?

Johnny Depp Is a Public Enemy We're Always Happy to See

Heeeere's Johnny! (Sorry, sometimes I can't help it.) Johnny Depp gave his adoring public, present company included, a smile and a wave on the set of Public Enemies in Columbus, WI on Monday. Nothing spices up a quiet week in celebrityland like a little bit of Mr. Depp. I think you'll all agree that we don't see nearly enough of him — and don't even get me started on the infrequency of shirtlessness. In the movie, which is being directed by Michael Mann, Johnny Depp plays a notorious bank robber/latter-day Robin Hood alongside, just to name a few, Christian Bale, Stephen Dorff and Oscar-winning Marion Cotillard. Sounds pretty amazing. We may have to wait a while to finally see the ensemble on the big screen, but as long as we get to see lots of Johnny filming no complaints here.

Judging from Johnny Depp's headwear, he'd be right at home in one of this Spring's anticipated blockbusters but instead he was just keeping it incognito in LA this week. We missed seeing his pretty face at the SAG Awards and getting to hear his Golden Globes acceptance speech, but we're glad that the Academy recognized his work in Sweeney Todd with a Best Actor nod. The Oscar competition is going to get fierce between fellow nominees Clooney and Daniel-Day Lewis, but as long as we get a glimpse of Johnny on the big night, there won't be any complaints here.

Most of you were missing the Golden Globes as much as we were last night, and one of the biggest letdowns was that we couldn't see our favorite stars accept their trophies. It seems that Johnny Depp was also sad about missing the opportunity to make an acceptance speech, and decided to release a full statement thanking his family, friends and co-stars for his first ever Golden Globe win.

Johnny is obviously very appreciative of his first Golden Globe, but he's still giving thanks for another gift he received last year. Yesterday he donated $2 million to the Great Ormond Street Hospital, where his daughter Lily-Rose was treated during her health scare back in March. He's been a frequent visitor of the hospital, reading the patients bedtime stories and inviting doctors to his movie premieres. Could he be any more amazing? We're so happy for Johnny and his big win, and hope that maybe he'll get the chance to make a real acceptance speech come Oscar time.

How did listening to music become making music?
When I was twelve, I talked my mom into picking up a Decca electric guitar for me for twenty-five dollars. It had a little blue plush amp. And then, this is horrible, the first thing I did was steal a Mel Bay chord book. I went to this store, stuffed it down my pants and walked out. It had pictures — that's why I needed it so badly, because it was immediate gratification. If I could match those photographs, then I was golden. I conquered it in days. I locked the bedroom door, didn't leave, and taught myself how to play chords. I started learning songs by ear.
