Jessica Simpson performed her first full concert in 3 years over the weekend at the 16th Annual Country Thunder USA in Twin Lakes, WI. Just like in her new video she showed off those famous legs and familiar pipes singing a range of covers, a few of the tracks from her upcoming album and even an old favorite like "With You." Tony Romo was out to support his girlfriend, which hopefully will keep that big grin on her face despite the first review out being not so stellar. In fact, the local paper basically tore her to pieces. Jessica's no stranger to dealing with bad press, but hopefully that won't stop her from keeping on trying to win over the hearts of all those country fans.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo looked happy over the weekend, but the rumors of trouble between them are far from over. We already heard that Tony got back together with Jess under the condition that Joe stop meddling and this week's Us Weekly takes it even further. However, Joe defended himself by saying:“It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients. And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children? A parent will always be there for his kids and never give up on them. I work hard seven days a week for my girls because I love them. Why in the world would I ever want to do anything that would hurt my children?"While we'd like to think that Joe only has the best intentions, we've seen him get in the middle of Jess' relationships with guys like Nick and John in the past. What do you think — should Joe take a hint and stay away from Jessica's relationship?

Jessica Simpson lost that big smile of hers somewhere between lunch with Tony in LA on Friday and arriving in Cabo with her family last night. Perhaps she was just tired, but unfortunately it sounds like all those stories about lovey fun times between her and Tony at Ashlee's wedding may have been more optimistic than true. According to some reports, Jess and Tony barely interacted all night and only danced a little at the end of the party. Boo. I hope that's not true and that things really are on the up and up with these two. Call it wishful thinking, but I really like them together.

Pete Gets Some Advice Before Heading to the Altar

Pete and Ashlee are gearing up for their wedding this weekend, and the groom-to-be had some male support at a low-key bachelor party at Mr. Chow last night. The guest list was small, but included Joel Madden, his future father-in-law Joe Simpson, and his own dad. That's just the beginning of the wedding gossip, though, and here's the rundown of what else we're hearing:

It's a good thing Pete knows what he's getting into with Joe, since Papa Simpson's constant involvement and unsolicited advice is supposedly part of the reason Tony dumped Jessica.
Pete and Ash have been shopping around the photos of the upcoming ceremony and supposedly People snagged the rights for more than a million.
The wedding will supposedly take place in Ashlee's parents' backyard in Encino.
The couple has asked their guests to wear dark attire and not to be overdressed.
Joe Simpson is begging Tony Romo to be Jessica's date for the wedding, even though the couple have called it quits.

With the wedding coming up tomorrow, we can expect many more details to be leaked over the next few days, so stay tuned for all things Simpson/Wentz family and wedding related.

Ashlee Simpson partied it up with the two leading men in her life in Vegas over the weekend. She was in town to perform at the Luxor, but still found time to pose with Pete on the red carpet and get goofy with Papa Joe in their Kanye sunglasses. While the Oscars was clearly the party to be at this weekend, seems like Ashlee still managed to make her own fun in Sin City.

Jessica Simpson looked a little bit grumpy yesterday out Christmas shopping with her parents in Dallas, her home away from home since she started dating the city's quarterback, golden-boy Tony Romo. Unfortunately, as usual Jessica is an easy target and getting more than her fair share of flack from the Cowboys fans (you think Gisele gets this when Tom Brady has a not-so-great game?). At least on a brighter note loudmouth Terrell Owens, who was pretty nasty about Jess yesterday, made sure to tell the press this morning that it was all in good fun. He said, "I tried to get [Romo] to call her so I can explain to her that she doesn't really know me and that I can be funny. . . . And that everything I say, the media will take it and run with it. It's not a big deal. I will try to rectify the situation between her and I." As for that pink jersey? She should probably still work on getting herself a more legit one before Saturday night's game in North Carolina.

Jessica Simpson Gets Riled Up For Her Cowboy

Once again Jessica Simpson was enjoying life in the luxury box, Papa Joe by her side, to watch her boyfriend Tony Romo show off his stuff as QB for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. I see she found the girly pink section of the team gear store, too. Unfortunately, the game didn't go so well for her man — it was a rough game that ended in a loss to the Eagles and an injured thumb for Tony. Sad face, though it's certainly not the end of the world. Not only has the team already clinched their place in the playoffs, but also he's got Jessica Simpson to nurse him (and his hands) back to health. With the level of fandom she's been showing off recently, I'm sure she's already got her seat reserved for the first playoff game. I guess all those hours watching Nick watch football have paid off in the end for Jess after all.

Ashlee Was Born to Lead Pete Back to Health

Ashlee Simpson went layered winter chic last night at the 2007 CosmoGirl Born to Lead Awards in NYC. Pete was there to support his December cover girl and even brought the rest of his band along for the party. The night before, Ashlee was by his side for his Angels and Kings Karaoke party, where he talked about how she's been helping him with his broken foot. He said, "When I'm being hard-headed and I don't want to elevate it, she says, 'No, put it on the pillow!' When I try to get in the shower by myself and am going to end up falling on the hotel room floor, she's good at stopping me." These two have come a long way in their relationship, we just hope he's as nice to her as she seems to be for him.

The ladies were caught giggling outside the restaurant — perhaps Jess was dishing about her rumored new romance with Owen. She sure looks all comfy in her big sweater and it sounds like she may have snagged a new man just in time to get even more cozy for the holidays. Jess and John were pretty cute celebrating together last year, but it would be sweet to see her and Owen celebrating the season in their mutual home state.

After a few days around NYC, where Jessica is apparently house hunting in order to be close to her record label while she records her country album, she was in LA over the weekend flashing those chompers for Operation Smile. She was certainly keeping herself covered up (to the point of looking a bit matronly) at the organization's 25th Annual Gala on Friday night. For a very pretty girl, Jessica Simpson can certainly choose an unflattering dress. I vastly prefer Jessica when she dresses casual (and the extensions are a bit much), but at least she wasn't wearing something inappropriate out to support the charity she's been working with for years. Now she just needs to find a good middle ground between this here and stuff like this.

Jess Makes A Splash With Her Swimwear Line

Jessica may like to dress for men, but she's been busy designing cute little swimsuits for women these days. She premiered her line at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Miami Swim yesterday afternoon and while she didn't actually strut the runway in a bikini, she was still showing off her killer bod. Mom and Papa Simpson were there to support their eldest daughter, as was her BFF/hairstylist/kinda just always around Ken Paves. Ashlee must have been too busy with Pete to make the trip. Jessica's movies may not be instant classics (or ever classics, or even mediocre), but it looks like Jess the designer is here to stay!

Jess and John may be giving Jim and Jenny (hey look! J names!) a run for their money on most fabulous couple hair these days. The flowing Simpson/Mayer manes reconvened in New York last night for John's MSG show. Afterwards the two headed off for club Stereo, with Alicia Keys (who joined John on stage for a bit) and Papa Joe Simpson (nooooooo) in tow. I just hope, for Jess' sake, that her dad keeps his hands out of this relationship. Girl does not need another 'ship sunk by her grubby pawed father. Seriously, someone give that man a hobby other than meddling in his daughters' love lives. On an attempting to ignore Joe note, John and Jess look happy!

Joe Simpson is a Diva

Jessica's dad is continuing to play the Pimp Daddy role in her life. Jess was super excited to score a part in the movie Blonde Ambition, but Joe is getting in the way and pissing off other people on the film. Page Six reports:

Jessica Simpson's new movie could have a bad ending. The beleaguered singer was psyched to start work on "Blonde Ambition," produced by "Malcolm in the Middle" star Justin Berfield. But Berfield was heard over the weekend complaining about the excessive demands her father, Joe, is making - and that they might endanger Simpson's role in the flick. A rep for Simpson said, "Well, Joe is a producer in the movie, too, so that would be weird." A rep for Berfield said, "Yes, his company is producing the movie."

Here we go again... Pimp Daddy Simpson is using his girls to make more money for himself. The latest is that he wants to make Jessica's Daisy Dukes into a restaurant chain. His plan is to open a restaurant similar to Hooters at Caesars Palace in Vegas. A source tells L&S magazine, “Joe’s going to make a lot of money from this, and he didn’t even ask Jessica!” We're surprised he didn't go for Double D's. A source says, "Brandt got into a huge fight with Joe Simpson. Joe is constantly trying to butt in and he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. Jessica took her father’s side and fired him." I wonder what new project Jess will get offered with her change in management.
