Jessica Heads Out While Cash Gets Blogging

Jessica Alba flashed a smile as she stepped out in LA Thursday. She's been busy supporting Obama in Denver and keeping us updated via her blog, and now her man has followed suit. Cash recently wrote a blog post about his experience at the DNC and taking Honor on her very first flight. Cash wrote: "It’s always nerve-racking for new parents to fly with their child because you never know if you’re going to ruin everyone else’s flight with a screaming baby. (To date, Honor has been a great baby. Rarely crying. Opting to express herself through simple Haiku’s or interpretive dance instead…yeah right. My girl’s got opinions. lol)." Sounds like Honor has been good to her parents and Cash is keeping a sense of humor that goes along with all the new stressful firsts that parents experience.

After an enthusiastic trip to the DNC in Denver last week which inspired her to blog about her work with declareyourself.org, Jessica was back to keeping the mood neutral on her way back to her car. It seems like she's saving the smiles for family time, which isn't much of a surprise considering how happy the threesome seems these days.

Stars Sing and Cheer For Barack's Big Night

Invesco Field at Mile High was full of excited supporters out to watch Barack Obama's historic speech last night at the finale of the DNC in Denver. As expected, some big names took the stage and their seats as the Democratic presidential candidate accepted the party's nomination and gave his speech — Citizen was there, check out her thoughts on the scene! Obama wasn't the only rock star in the house as John Legend and Sheryl Crow both performed, as did Jennifer Hudson who sang the national anthem. Fergie wore her ridiculous sunglasses, while Jessica Alba and Cash looked proud to be there even if Honor is a bit too young for the actual event. The journey to election day will only get harder from here for Obama, but it looks like his Hollywood fans are ready to do what it takes to lend their support.

Cash had his Flip Video camera to capture all of what is probably his daughter's first experience at the airport. Jessica is expected to appear at the DNC this week, which should make for plenty more fun footage of the family and their potential future political activist.

Last night in Pasadena stars came out to grace the red carpet and stage at the 2008 Alma Awards. Once again, Eva Longoria played host for the night and showed off a few costume changes like she did at last year's awards. Jessica Alba didn't have Cash with her to gaze lovingly like Eva and Tony, but she lit up the red carpet all the same continuing her smiley weekend. America Ferrera took home Entertainer of the Year while Shakira was named Humanitarian of the Year. Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale were on hand to present a special achievement award to High School Musical 2 director Kenny Ortega. Jessica Alba and Cash Warren spent Friday on a double date out to a movie with Jaime King and her husband Kyle Newman before spending Saturday with their family including little Honor in her stroller. Jessica had her new mom glow to go with that big smile out on the town without her baby and an even bigger one when the little girl joined them. Date night isn't the only thing keeping Jess happy these days — she blogged last week about loving the Olympics! While it looks like she must have missed watching the action on Friday night, wonder if she was glued to the TV on Saturday like the rest of us watching Michael Phelps make history.

As expected, OK! Magazine has the first photos of baby Honor with her mom — both of whom look gorgeous! The issue also includes an interview with both parents where they talk about which one of them she takes after and Jessica’s natural child birth! Here are some highlights:

On having a daughter: "It hasn't totally sunk in. She dreams, she smiles, and coos and does all these things, but she hasn't seen enough of the world yet to understand any of that stuff. So I still feel like she's connected to the other world, or something. There's no other way to explain it. It's a miracle."
On her natural childbirth:"The labor was more like meditation. I did yoga breathing. I was focused. [...] I didn't scream. It was really Zen."
On her post baby bod: "I started working out last Thursday, but for 20 minutes. I do cardio on my own. I'm doing it slow. Now I'm starting to eat more healthy. Because after working out, having fried chicken and mashed potatoes is a little counteractive."
On Honor's looks: Cash: "She looks like a girl version of me. She has my nose, my eyebrows and my..." Jessica interrupts: "Forehead and dimples. She has my mouth when I was a baby. And my ears." Cash: "Maybe Honor is a mixture. I want her to look like me, because a daughter looking like Jessica, I'd kill myself!"

Jessica Alba shows off her soft and girly side in the August UK Cosmopolitan. The actress and new mom opens up about her pregnancy, her surprise wedding, and how she never thought she'd end up where she is now. Here are some highlights:

On falling for Cash: "We met on the set of The Fantastic Four in 2005. I remember thinking right away, 'What a great guy.' The first week we got together, he gave me a note saying, 'I really, really like you.' And that was exactly how I felt. Cash believes, as I do, in taking life as it comes. Nothing was planned – the pregnancy or the wedding – but he took it in his stride and convinced me we’d conquer all! I love that. He makes me laugh more than anyone — and he's great looking too..."
On being pregnant: "I never felt less sexy. I mean, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world and my cravings weren't so bad — I craved citrus fruits, like lemons, oranges and grapefruit. But I wanted to get rid of all the weight. It was also a great happiness, though and I certainly didn't have any cravings not to be pregnant."
On what surprises her about men, and double standards: "How easily they're attracted to the obvious. All you have to do is dress up in a sexy outfit. When I went blonde for Sin City three years ago, I swear I've never had more male attention. [...] I don’t like double standards. I’d never use a man for sex but I can understand why some women would – and I don’t see why they should be criticized for having the same attitude as men."

A Smiley Alba Scores Some Sales

Jessica Alba showed off her new mom glow on a trip to Bloomingdales in LA on Friday with Cash. She looked adorable and stylish with her trendy braided hair and ombre maxi dress, but her big smile is what made the ensemble. The new parents kept their Fourth of July on the low key side, maybe because Jessica is already thinking about how her and Cash's personalities will affect baby Honor. She recently said,

"Kids' personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality. If you're very paranoid and uptight and won't let your child cross the street, they are going to take on that anxiety. If you're a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you'll probably have an easier time with them. I guess I'll find out."

It's hard to stay relaxed when you've got a little one to chase after all the time, but maybe retail therapy and smoothies are just a couple of secrets to keep Jessica and Cash happy and grounded parents.

According to Us Weekly, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren became parents this weekend! Jessica apparently gave birth to a baby girl at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. Jessica and Cash quietly got married at the courthouse a few weeks ago, just in time for their new addition. No word yet on a baby name or any other details. Congrats to the new family!

Update: People confirms the news and that Jessica and Cash have named their little girl Honor Marie Warren.
