Two people believed to be Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were shot and killed this afternoon in the home of the mother, Darnell Hudson Donnerson. They were found by the actress's cousin. Jennifer's 7-year-old nephew was reportedly kidnapped from the scene, and there is an Amber Alert out in the greater Chicago area. The boy's mother reported him missing. Will was there as a producer and to support Jada who embraced Fall's latest lace trend and is an executive producer of the film based on the best-selling novel. Dakota Fanning continues to look all grown up while looking perfectly age appropriate. The recently engaged Jennifer Hudson got gorgeous in navy with matching blue eye shadow. The MTV VMAs may have been the talk of the town, but the Toronto Film Festival proved to be just as star-studded. Jennifer Aniston looked fabulous as usual in her mini black dress for Management, while Keira Knightley looked like royalty once again on the red carpet for The Duchess. Brad Pitt showed off his Burn After Reading and talked about how little sleep he's getting these days taking care of six kids. Invesco Field at Mile High was full of excited supporters out to watch Barack Obama's historic speech last night at the finale of the DNC in Denver. As expected, some big names took the stage and their seats as the Democratic presidential candidate accepted the party's nomination and gave his speech — Citizen was there, check out her thoughts on the scene! Obama wasn't the only rock star in the house as John Legend and Sheryl Crow both performed, as did Jennifer Hudson who sang the national anthem. Fergie wore her ridiculous sunglasses, while Jessica Alba and Cash looked proud to be there even if Honor is a bit too young for the actual event. The journey to election day will only get harder from here for Obama, but it looks like his Hollywood fans are ready to do what it takes to lend their support.

Fresh Faces and Performances Keep It Hot at BET Awards

While the red carpet was sunny and colorful in LA last night, the real fun was reserved for the Shrine Auditorium stage at the BET Awards. Some of the best performances of the night were from our young familiar faces like Chris Brown and Rihanna as well as some old favorites like Alicia Keys alongside En Vogue and TLC (minus Left Eye). How cute was it seeing Chris/Rihanna singing along with each other's performances from the audience? Love it. Kanye has said that he's done having tantrums over award shows (though that does not go for everything), but luckily last night he didn't have to walking away with two statues — check out all the winners here. Along with lots of Obama love, Fergie helped close out the show with Nelly her fellow pa-pa-pa-pa-party person before hitting what I'm sure was the real fun at all the after show soirées.

No two outfits were alike last night on the red carpet of the BET Awards. There were a variety of colors and lengths that showed off some serious stems and beautiful curves. Jennifer Hudson showed off her new bob while Alicia went from curly to straight and shocking in pink. Always a favorite and unpredictable, Rihanna showed up in a stunning yellow dress. Like last year, the biggest trend of the evening was to keep things short and sweet in a mini-dress. Lindsay Lohan picked purple while SJP went basic in black. Paris Hilton accessorized with boyfriend Benji Madden, but the girls of The Hills decided to make it a ladies' night and stroll the carpet as a trio. After the Sex and the City Premiere, It's the After-Party

The gorgeous women of Sex and the City followed their pink carpet premiere with a star-studded after-party at NYC's MoMa last night. The fab foursome continued to pose together (do you think SJP looked better than LL in that Nina Ricci dress?) as Mario Cantone had fun with some sailors and Jennifer Hudson showed off her second dress of the evening. Even though the night was mostly about the ladies, SJP was accompanied by her proud husband Matthew Broderick, while Candace Bushnell and Anna Wintour brought their men, Charles Askegaard and Shelby Bryan. In true SATC style, the fun times rolled into an after-after-party at The Carlyle hotel. The ladies may have grown up, but they obviously still know how to have a great time.

Sex and the City Premiere Glitters in Gold in NYC

Things may have kicked off in the UK, but the SATC girls finally came home to premiere the film at Radio City Music Hall last night. Love 'em or not, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Kim Cattrall glittered in their metallic dresses on a pink carpet that was covered with more than 10,000 Swarovski crystals. SJP looked amazing in a very familiar dress (hello, LL in Bazaar superhero photo shoot). Chris Noth and more costars came out, as well as some of NYCs most stylish trendsetters like Ashley Olsen and Anna Wintour (looking perfect as usual). New theme song artist Fergie got girlie, while Jason Lewis acted goofy sticking his tongue out for the cameras. Fans are so excited for the film that they paid big bucks to attempt to attend the premiere last night. Seriously, big bucks. Clearly this weekend belongs to the girls in the city, so move over Indy!

The Oscars Are Back but Not With a Vengeance

Last night the winners weren't shocking but the show still had a few memorable moments. First off, let's not blame Jon Stewart for the probably least watched Oscars ever. It wasn't his fault they had no time to prepare which left us watching montage after montage. The pregnancy joke was inevitable — too bad Jolie wasn't even there to accept her pseudo-award. It also wasn't Jon's fault that it took over an hour before a big actor award was handed out. When that time came, Javier took the stage with a smile. Expected winner, Daniel Day-Lewis kissed his fellow nominee George Clooney on his way up to grab his little gold man. Of the many Enchanted performances, my favorite was the adorable Kristin Chenoweth singing, "That's How You Know." One pleasant surprise was seeing Owen Wilson presenting Best Live Action Short. We're also very happy to see Juno win something! Congrats Diablo Cody!

While Denzel Washington's date to his LA premiere of The Great Debaters was his wife, he spent much of his red carpet time on the arm of one Oprah Winfrey. Also in the house were Samuel L. Jackson, his Kangol hat, and Jennifer Hudson, among others. After a long weekend of stumping for Barack Obama, Oprah traded in her pants suit for a leather skirt to support her friend and chat on the red carpet. Of course, she was asked about life on the campaign trail but also about the controversy surrounding her school in South Africa. She said, "I think that all crisis is there to teach you about your life," The biggest lesson learned: "You have to be far more careful in choosing people to stand in the gap for you. You have to stay on it. . . .The school is going to be better because that happened . . . We're going to come back and have best year ever!"
