TRL Says Goodbye With JT, Diddy, Beyonce and More

TRL had its final moments last night with a show bringing back the biggest stars who ever stopped by the Times Square studio. Beyonce kicked it off with a performance that included the classic "Crazy in Love" but sadly no Jay-Z cameo. Carson Daly returned for the show, as did Diddy, who made the most appearances of any celebrity. Justin stopped by to make fun of his frosted tips while Kid Rock smoked his cigar all throughout his performance. Of course, the streets were crowded with one last group of screaming fans that got to watch Fall Out Boy (without Pete Wentz) perform to help complete the show. Even Jesse Camp stopped by with Wanna Be a VJ runner up David Holmes. After a little more than ten years on the air, they counted down its most crucial videos of its history ending with Britney's ". . .Baby One More Time" at No. 1. It was a fitting way to finish off as we all say one more goodbye to TRL.

LL and Ashley Help DMB and Julia Stand Up For a Cure

Some of our favorite small screen actors — and at least one high profile TV guest star — stepped out at Madison Square Garden last night for Dave Matthews Band's concert as part of the Stand Up For A Cure series. Fresh from a day filming Ugly Betty Lindsay Lohan posed on the red carpet before watching Samantha Ronson DJ the pre-show. Julia Roberts introduced the main act to an audience including some of the Gossip Girl kids like Chace Crawford, Jessica Szohr and Nicole Fiscella, as well as the always-endearing Damien Fahey among others. While I imagine big events like this are still bittersweet for the band who recently lost a member, they performed the night away to raise money for lung cancer research.

Ashlee and Some Handsome Men Are Hot Travelers

Straight-faced was the word — other than Ashlee Simpson (best PR week EVER!) — at last night's Conde Nast Traveler 8th Annual Hot List party in NYC. Pete wasn't by her side, but of course Ash wore a loose LBD for the soirée, wouldn't want to stop the chatter after all. Cutie Damien Fahey and a stern Milo Ventimiglia were also solo for the red carpet while Adrien Brody (love him) had his hot little girlfriend Elsa Pataky cozied up next to him. Ashlee isn't ready to ~~put the story to rest~~ publicly admit the pregnancy (or not, whatever), but she's certainly not shy with that new ring of hers.

Old Navy, New Starlets Come Out to Party

Old Navy lured out some of Hollywood's hottest young stars for its "New Year, New Old Navy" party in NYC last night to celebrate the store's new, hip creative direction. While none of the red carpet cuties wore any color at all (come on now guys, I know it's Manhattan, but muted isn't an actual dress code), they still managed to turn up the heat. Victoria's Secret's Sexiest Newcomer Blake Lively looked smokin' in her pants and top combo alongside fellow Gossip-er Chace Crawford. He wasn't looking too shabby himself. Oh, how I miss that show already. Neither Sophia Bush nor Kristen Bell seems to miss a party these days, so of course they were there for the event, as was Little Miss Serious Hero and activist Hayden P. Blake, Kristen, and Hayden may all be cozying up with their boys these days, but is Mr. TRL Damien Fahey taken? If not, someone should snatch him right up.

Eye Think We Know What Jessica's Having

Jessica Alba is still making the rounds for The Eye, and yesterday she swung by TRL to chat with cutie Damien Fahey, where he subjected her to the age-old Halloween treat of touching various icky things with her eyes closed to guess what they are. At least she said the totally nauseated time in her pregnancy is over. You guys were evenly split a couple of weeks ago on your predictions for the sex of Jessica's baby, but she was seen shopping for blue things at an LA baby store. She even bought up a onesie that says, "I'm a Boy." She may be trying to be coy about knowing the sex, but methinks this secret may be spilled.

MTV Does Another NYE in NYC

MTV rang in the New Year with another star-studded party in their studio overlooking Times Square. Not only did the revelers have a prime spot to view the ball drop, but they were treated to performances by Kid Rock (with Rev Run), Mary J. Blige, Good Charlotte and more. I guess that means Joel didn't get to start the new year with a kiss from Nicole, but I'm sure he'll make up for it back in LA. Cutie VJ Damien Fahey looked dapper in his three piece suit for the big night. The hostess of the party was Tila Tequila, who took the opportunity to announce that her first shot at love didn't work out and she's doing another season of her reality dating show. Who's excited?

Adrian Combines His Love For Models and Charity

Adrian Grenier continued his charitable ways in NYC last night, where he co-hosted a benefit for charity: water with model Jessica Stam. The event was designed to raise awareness and money for the over one-billion people without access to clean drinking water. Damien Fahey and Isaac Mizrahi also showed up to support the good cause, and Adrian really got into the spirit by toting around some clean-water jugs to show off for the crowd. He even compared the work with clean water with the writers' strike that could cancel the next season of Entourage. He said, "I think the studios should give as much in the same spirit as I have been talking about tonight. . . . Give, give, give a little extra. . . . it goes a long way." Sounds like the perfect holiday spirit.

Keri Russell and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers were the latest stars to pose in front of the famous green wall while stopping by TRL in NYC yesterday. Keri looked adorable as usual and is it just us or does she keep getting tinier? She and Jonathan definitely look like they enjoy each other's company, even though we must say that his searing eyes are a little too intense. But between their big smiles and their giggles at the premiere of August Rush, we bet these costars show off some great on screen chemistry.

Josh Hartnett and Rihanna may seem like another semi-random TRL pairing this week, but MTV may actually have acted as quite the matchmaker. Can you see them making flirty eyes in these pictures? Mmmmmhmmmm. The "Umbrella-ella-ella" singer and 30 Days of Night star took their afternoon together on TRL and made it into a night on the town. Rumor has it that the two were seen canoodling (can't help it, I love the word) and making out at NYC club, Pink Elephant last night. I guess that maybe/maybe not relationship between Rihanna and Shia is over before it even began. Well these two definitely make a hot little duo and good for Rih for nabbing him after he got rid of that stache.

Eva + Emile + Kid Rock = Bizarre Afternoon at TRL

While TRL often holds court for an interesting array of musicians/actors/reality TV stars, yesterday's trio of Kid Rock, Emile Hirsch & Eva Mendes has to be on the odder side. Emile was there to talk about Into the Wild while Eva talked up her new release, We Own the Night. For Kid Rock, on the other hand, this was just another stop performing on his ~~Pamela Anderson Feud Tour '07~~ Rock n Roll Jesus promotional tour. I kid, I kid because I think I'm totally Team Kid Rock (though some of what he's been saying on Rolling Stone/Larry King/Howard Stern is pret-ty nasty, oh well). Sounds like Pam kinda broke his heart, right? Whatever, he's a cowboy, baby.

Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, our new very favorite Gossip Girls, visited TRL yesterday to hobnob with their new bread and butter — the MTV watching set. No one loves some good gossip like the teens! As usual, the girls looked perfectly put together, and thankfully Bella's on the case for getting perfect TRL makeup. Now, if only I could find a way to get Blake's hair. Also, Dear wants to know what you consider gossip. America Betty-ifies Total Request Live

Fresh off her Emmy win, America Ferrera looked decidedly un-Betty in her t-shirt and jeans stopping by TRL yesterday afternoon. Her on screen persona certainly has a unique style, but America looks gorgeous in this casual look. In the past she denied rumors that she is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, but I spy with my little eye a ring on that finger. Maybe Wilhelmina's won't be the only wedding America is dressing up for this season. The first episode of the new season of Ugly Betty was surprisingly heartbreaking, but America and her fabulous fellow cast members somehow always find a way to tow the line between adorable, smarmy, endearing and hilarious. Love it.

The Hills Girls Think Pink For Legally Blonde

There was no shortage of Elle Woods' signature color pink at a special MTV taping of the musical version of Legally Blonde in NYC yesterday. The ladies of The Hills put on their party dresses to host the pre-show event. Audrina showed off her super toned arms and LC kept it simple in her LBD. Whitney got right into the pink spirit in a dress that Beyonce showed off in July. Looks like Heidi and Spencer couldn't make it to the big event, but Heidi must be really busy these days with her fancy new job and all.

Andy Wants The Emmy In A Box

Andy Samberg displayed enough facial expressions on TRL yesterday to give John Krasinski a run for his money. Andy's becoming a household name this year and with his new movie and big Emmy nomination, we can expect to see more of of him. Speaking of that now infamous skit, Andy admits that he was surprised by the craze created by "D*ck In The Box," saying, "I never thought it would be anything. Justin did, though. He knows what a hit sounds like. I so want to win this Emmy." Paul Rudd was looking super cute on TRL yesterday - he's even putting Damien Fahey to shame. Paul stopped by to promote his new movie, The Ten before joining some of his co-stars at the premiere last night. The movie looks a little quirky, but watching Paul is more than enough reason to check it out. He's certainly come a long way since the Clueless days, but we love that he has stayed his adorably scruffy self.

Shia Puckers Up On TRL

Shia may not be known for his comedic talent, but that obviously didn't prevent him from hamming it up on TRL yesterday. As much as these pictures make us cringe just a little, it isn't entirely his fault - he was challenged to act out a love scene with a tennis ball. Regardless of what or whom he's kissing off camera, Shia's still forging ahead on his path to superstardom. He just signed on for Eagle Eye, a thriller that will be directed by D.J. Caruso, who did Disturbia. Based on Disturbia's surprising success, this could be yet another promising project for Mr. LaBeouf, and perhaps in the meantime he can try to find a lucky lady to practice his kissing scenes with.
