Christina Aguilera stepped out with her latest favorite lipstick shade and Jordan on her arm after dinner at Osteria Mozza in LA last night. Dates have always been important to the couple, especially now that Christina's schedule has been so busy. This weekend won't be any different as the singer is scheduled to open the American Music Awards on Sunday, performing a six-song medley. Sounds like she's got her hands full, but she and Jordan are still doing their best to sell their home, and have even lowered their asking price to get the process going.

Christina Aguilera looked a little bit more natural (maybe?) on her way out of Fred Segal with Jordan last night. The new parents left without any bags, but held each other's hand instead. Christina's got a busy few weeks ahead, including an appearance on this Sunday's final TRL, as well as a performance at next weekend's American Music Awards. Christina also recently talked about her new look, saying, "I was very inspired by the look and feel of that [pop-art] genre, your Jane Birkins, your Blondies, females who have come before who have done this so many times and so well — almost as an homage to them. Also, speaking of Warhol, Nico from the Velvet Underground . . . so it all kind of ties in to a pop-art feel and twist, with a mod look. But a futuristic taste of what's to come." She also laughed off the frequent comparison to Lady Gaga because, clearly, she has loftier ideals of who she's emulating these days.

Christina Keeps Gettin' Better Despite Her Critics

Christina Aguilera looked dramatic as usual out in LA last night at a launch party for fashion photographer Matthew Rolston's new book, BeautyLIGHT. That's not the only release she's celebrating — her new album "Keeps Gettin' Better" also hits shelves today. She recently opened up to Rolling Stone about the many challenges she faces as a solo female artist. She said,

“I’m running a business and sometimes being the boss of your own empire and creation, you have to be assertive. Being a female, that comes with being labeled a ‘b*tch’ and given titles that men wouldn’t receive. But if that’s what I’m going to be called by being assertive and knowing who I am and what I want out of life, so be it. I wear that label proudly.”

Christina isn't one to take the safe route, so it's no surprise she won't back down to any critics.

Before the election, Lindsay blogged to encourage people to vote, but it doesn't seem like there was a lack of turnout yesterday. Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman left Max at the hotel and got all dressed up for dinner at L'Atelier in London last night. Christina performed at the Africa Rising Festival earlier this week and apparently she's taking advantage of the London nightlife while in town. On Wednesday night, the singer and her husband went to Whiskey Mist after dinner and ended up partying with Prince William, Prince Harry, and Paris Hilton in the VIP area. Christina supposedly swapped numbers with Prince William so maybe we'll see the couple mixing it up with royalty again before they head back home.

Christina and Seal Celebrate at Africa Rising Festival

Christina Aguilera arrived in London with her boys Jordan and Max over the weekend and tonight was the big event. She, along with others like Seal, took the stage to perform at the Africa Rising Festival. Tyson Beckford graced us with his shirtless presence while even Colin Powell got into the dancing spirit. Christina took the red carpet in a colorful outfit, but when it came time to sing she was back in the all-white we recognize from her tour last Summer. Before her show, Christina talked a little about Max, saying they'll have more kids and that her upcoming album is inspired by him: "It's all about color and life. Everything's a playground for him. Everything is color and fun." It looks like she was already wrapped up in that colorful and fun spirit last night alongside all the other performers for the night.

Max changed clothes during the flight while Christina is gearing up for her first big show since his birth tomorrow night at the Africa Rising Festival. The family has been relaxing in California but they'll be overseas soon — Christina signed on to perform her first big show since giving birth to Max, headlining the Africa Rising Festival in London on Oct. 14. It's important to Christina that she stays true to herself despite the new responsibilities of being a wife and mother, which apparently includes keeping up her occasionally raunchy stage shows, as she recently said, "I’m not going to take the safe route just because I had a child." Her performance at the VMAs wasn't too scandalous, so we'll have to wait and see if Christina will be getting back to her old "Dirrty" self on stage in England.

The long awaited Britney Spears opening included a pre-taped clip with Jonah Hill before her blink-and-you'll-miss-it intro which was greeted by a touching standing ovation and eventually three moonmen! Host Russell Brand didn't hold back when bashing President Bush, calling Palin a VILF and begging for Obama support. He also mocked the promise ring wearing Jonas Brothers but Jordin Sparks came to their defense and called Brand a slut. Rihanna looked amazingly badass twice —opening the show with "Disturbia" and later doing a duet with T.I. Other performances included Kanye, Christina Aguilera, Pink, the Jonas Brothers and Kid Rock — all of them full of energy and enjoyable. Also, Demi Moore, Lauren Conrad and Michael Phelps presented awards! So much to talk about, what was your favorite part?

The Sexy, Sultry Ladies Heat Up the VMA Red Carpet

The ladies hit the VMAs red carpet and managed to look cool under the blazing LA sun yesterday afternoon and we were there to get a peek at the action. Lindsay Lohan turned heads in her skintight black dress though I spotted her changed into pants and a sexy top when she made her way into the show with Samantha right behind. We didn't get to see Ashlee Simpson on the red carpet, but I did spot her sneaking in the side entrance to the show right after Pete — I will say that baby bump is huge and she is positively glowing. Bar Refaeli looked stunning though was happier to talk to us about her girls' vacation in St Tropez than when a reporter asked her about Leo's whereabouts. Nicky Hilton told us she was excited for the show after deciding last minute to come and wore an Open Ceremony dress while Taylor Swift is just the sweetest thing ever. She's so pretty, poised and polite.

Also on the red carpet were the ladies of The Hills — Lauren Conrad looked great mixing it up from her usual while Heidi was attached to Spencer even when they had to sip champagne waiting to be let in to the packed auditorium. Of course, Heidi and Spencer were happy to talk to the press and Britney was the topic on everyone's mind. They were excited for this to be the best VMAs ever starting with Britney's opening moment.
