Carrie Underwood slipped into uniform and stepped up to the plate alongside some of her fellow country stars for the 18th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge on Wednesday. She played tough before the game, saying, "I’ve got a lot of practice with a bat one way or another the last couple years." Unfortunately, Carrie's confidence wasn't enough to lead her team to victory, but she still looked cute as a button running the bases. Last night David Cook became our newest American Idol, and while you all were happy with the final result, there was a lot more going on last night than just the Davids duking it out. David Archuleta and One Republic — I love that song and it was the perfect duet!

David Cook and ZZ Top — David was so badass with a rock band behind him!

George Michael — It totally made me want to buy tickets to his concert!

Seal and Syesha — They had perfect chemistry and were so much fun to watch!

Carrie Underwood — She looked hot and sounded even better!

Another season of American Idol has come to an end, and David Cook was crowned as an Idol. Our favorite parts of the show were Seal, sassy Carrie Underwood, Ben Stiller/Jack Black/Robert Downey Jr. singing backup, and of course the special guest appearance by George Michael.

Are You Happy About This Year's American Idol Winner?

Yes — I love Cook's edgy rocker appeal and I was rooting for him!

No — I always thought David Archuleta was more talented and I'm kinda bummed.

Last night Kenny Chesney was declared the Entertainer of the Year for the fourth year in a row at the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards in Vegas. Garth Brooks was also back in the limelight to receive the first-ever Crystal Milestone Award for his outstanding achievements. Performer Keith Urban didn't need a trophy to make him gush.
