It's Brad's Turn to Praise The Jolie-Pitts and His Projects

Before Brad Pitt took Angelina Jolie to the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button we saw him filming an interview for the Today Show in New Orleans which aired this morning. Brad spoke about the success of his Make It Right program and what it was like meeting the specific families that have already moved in. The actor also spoke about his own family dynamic and the possibility of marriage as he continued on the Jolie-Pitt tradition of talking up his children.

On why he doesn't like talking about his family: "I just walk away feeling bad about it when I do. There's no way to give it true validity and weight and what it means to you in your life. and it seems to get cheapened somehow as it goes through the filter and the airwaves. Some things you just want to keep close to the chest."
On his family: "I will say this — I'm really proud of this family. I look at my sons and daughters. ... It's a rich home, I feel rich being around them. Each one offers so much to the mix. Surprisingly though, six kids is not as easy as you would think."
On whether he'll marry Angelina: "If we feel it's important to our kids we'll do so."

Brad seems a little more standoffish about talking about his family this time around, but he still takes a moment to glow about his kids. After the interview, Anne seemed relieved to reveal that Brad's mustache is just for his new movie and we do hope he isn't getting too attached to it.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie graced the red carpet in New Orleans last night at a screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Brad's passion about this movie seems almost as much about the city and the connection he is quite literally building there as it does the film itself. At the premiere he said, “I'm telling you, [New Orleans] did something else for the film. It suddenly grounded it in a way that wouldn't have worked in other places. You know, there's magic and rhythms to New Orleans, that something mystical could happen here. . . I don't have to speak for New Orleans. New Orleans speaks pretty well for itself as it is." The couple looked spectacular as Brad proudly showed his love for the woman in white and city that have captured his heart.

The roving Jolie-Pitts popped up in New Orleans over the weekend with a wave and a smile. Angelina looked gorgeous out toy shopping with Maddox while Brad took his bike for a spin around town. Perhaps mom brought her oldest with her into the world of sales for b-day presents for Pax, who turned 5 on Saturday. Last year at this time the family was also in New Orleans working on Brad's housing project and he recently said that is where they find "a sense of normalcy, if there's such a thing." Maybe they're making a tradition of holidays in Louisiana, but with the frequency at which the Jolie-Pitts travel they'll probably be in 25 other places between now and then.

Brad Pitt chatted with Oprah a few weeks ago, and tomorrow we'll finally get to see the full episode. Until then, here are a few more cute quotes where Brad talks about how funny the kids are and reveals a few of their little quirks:

On being a dad: "[The kids are] the funniest people I've ever met. And you know it really tells you — it's a great mirror for yourself. It really tells you a lot about yourself and who you are and how you react to things. They make me better. They make me a better person as a father."
On getting the kids ready for a day out: "We don't go to the mall. It's like a half-an-hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they've got their snacks, and Z.Z. [Zahara, 3] has got a blanket and Shiloh's got her silky. Angie's militant about it. She's right on top of it. Thank God, because I'm always forgetting something."
On Shiloh's love for Peter Pan: "She only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it's a Peter Pan thing. So we've got to call her John. 'Shi, do you want . . .' – 'John. I'm John.' And then I'll say, 'John, would you like some orange juice?' And she goes, 'No!' Angelina Smiles With Brad but Gets Sad About Her Mom

She was the woman I related to, who had that elegance and strength through just knowing what was right." Angelina also said that there are more kids on the way and that she spent most of the past year "in pajamas and coloring." Things will probably only get busier for the Jolie-Pitts as Brad continues filming Inglorious Bastards and starts promoting The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but so far it looks like he and Angelina are doing a good job meeting up all over the world.

Brad Pitt was back in LA last night, but even one of the biggest movie stars in the world can suffer from what may have been a case of mistaken identity. He arrived early at a screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button only to be accosted and pushed around by a security bodyguard who was hired to protect Brad. He admittedly looks different these days with his mustache, but if it was a problem of being recognized, those hats have been his staple for years. Since the incident left him unsettled at least he had his rambunctious kids and smiley baby twins waiting at home to comfort him.

Oprah Gets Brad to Spill on Angelina and the Kids

After having dinner with friends at Il Cantinori last night, Brad Pitt was out and about in NYC today. We know that he stopped over in Chicago to support Obama, and Brad also found time to chat with his friend Oprah for an episode to be aired later this month. He talked about his family, revealing that Shiloh is going through a Peter Pan phase and that Pax is so rebellious he even once peed on the timeout chair. When asked if there were more on the way, he said, "Probably. It's the greatest endeavor I've ever taken on. Why stop now?" As for Angelina, Brad said that she's "very sweet" and didn't argue when Oprah referred to Angelina as "the love of his life" or asked if Brad is the happiest he's ever been. Sounds like life is good for the whole Jolie-Pitt clan — if only we got more opportunities to see those munchkins and their seemingly hilarious antics.

Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino joined the rest of the guys from Inglorious Bastards for dinner at the aptly named Tarantino's restaurant in Berlin last night. Unfortunately, no Diane Kruger this time. Brad showed off his mustache for the role — who wore it better, Brad or George Clooney? — though you can get a much better first look at him in character here. While we're excited to hear more about this unique-sounding project, Brad's already signed on for another one. He'll be starring in a big screen adaptation of The Odyssey, set in space. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out and where the Jolie-Pitt family will be packing up and moving next to join dad on set.

The Jolie-Pitts Globe Trot Back to France

Just like that, the Jolie-Pitts are back in France. The family arrived at the Nice airport in their pajamas early this morning after an all-night flight. We were just reveling in seeing Angelina and Brad cuddling and watching Maddox and Pax play in New Orleans, but it looks like they were using up all their energy before the long plane ride. The family of eight filed out one by one with Brad and Angelina juggling the twins in their car seats. The family is back in their French home for the next week or so before they return to Germany where Brad will be filming Inglorious Bastards. Just another whirlwind week around the world for the Jolie-Pitts and their six jet-setting children.

A handful of the Jolie-Pitts stepped out of their house in New Orleans yesterday to visit one of the sites of Brad's housing projects in the Ninth Ward. The weather was a little rainy, but that didn't stop Pax and Maddox from smiling and playing on a jungle gym as Brad and Angelina looked on and cozied up to each other. Brad's hard work has been paying off, and at a charity event on Monday, he announced that his Make it Right Foundation had raised enough money to build six more homes in the city bringing the total to 90 toward his goal of 150 — another good deed from the power giving couple.

Angelina, Brad and the rest of the Jolie-Pitt family arrived in Manhattan last night before Angie's Saturday premiere of Changeling. The family flew in from Germany where they just started living while Brad films Inglorious Bastards after spending the Summer in France. Shiloh looked adorable and sleepy after the long flight while Brad carried in Zahara and one of the twins in the carseat. We've heard news of Angelina the past few months, from the large donations that have been given to rumors of trouble between her and Brad, but it's fantastic to get a peek at her after all of this time. Hopefully we'll see more of the Jolie-Pitts as they play around the Big Apple, but for now it's great to get a glimpse at the family arriving back in the states.

Brad Pitt Moves His Glorious Family to Germany

Brad Pitt popped up in Germany yesterday for a meeting with Quentin Tarantino, Diane Kruger and more of the Inglorious Bastards cast at a restaurant in Berlin before stopping by the studio in Potsdam this morning. After getting goofy in France on Tuesday, he moved the entire Jolie-Pitt family to Germany and set up shop in a fancy new Villa at the Palais Parkschloss on Wannsee Lake. The actor will be one of the few people speaking English in the WWII movie, so should be an interesting experience for Brad and yet another country the jet-setting family can explore.

Brad Pitt Is Mellow, Yellow and Ready for the Beach!

Brad Pitt was head to toe in yellow terry cloth on the set of a Japanese cell phone commercial in France yesterday. He looked silly to be sure but that grin shows the humor of his outfit isn't lost on him — gotta love the matching hat and too short pants. Sticking to funny is wise since his recent foray into goofiness for Burn After Reading earned him good reviews and a No. 1 opening weekend. None of the kids came along this time and we haven't seen Angelina at all recently leading to lots of rumors about the end of the Jolie-Pitts, which have been denied by their reps. All seems business as usual since they've been so busy with their charitable donations together and hopefully the family W Magazine spread shot by Brad out soon will put to rest the split stories.
