The couple celebrated Thanksgiving with the kids while Reese joined Jake in London. Now that it's time to shop for gifts, we wonder what Ryan thinks about Ava's wish list, which includes a horse. Ryan Phillippe took Ava out and about in Santa Monica on Monday where she showed off a shirt that said exactly what we were thinking. Ryan took care of the kids while Reese visited Jake in London and he looked content spending time with his daughter, who already looks so much like her mom. Reese has been gushing about her life and opening up about their new family dynamic, so even if from time to time Ryan misses his ex-wife and you all haven't warmed up to him with Abbie, the whole family seems like they are in a happy place right now.

Deacon's got an athletic streak just like his dad, and he was too precious in white on the way to karate class. Looks like Ava got to spend some quality time with her dad's girlfriend while her brother was learning how to kick butt, and we love how happy these two blondies always seem — no matter which parent they're spending time with.

It was Ryan Phillippe's turn with Ava and Deacon yesterday, and the doting dad held his two kids close as they ran errands in LA. Blue-eyed boy Deacon always seems to be bubbling with personality as he comes up on his fifth birthday later this month. He and Ava are lucky that they have both mom and dad close in LA so they get to spend a lot of time with both parents, though with rumors that Reese is looking for a place in London while Jake is there filming, it might become a little harder. Even so, they always seem to work it out and we love seeing the adorable kids with either parent even if they still make us nostalgic from time to time.

After a super quick jaunt across the world to visit a muscle-bound Jake Gyllenhaal on set in Morocco, Reese Witherspoon was back in LA with her kids over the weekend. Reese, Ava, Deacon and some friends went on a hike in Temescal Canyon before settling down for a picnic lunch of sandwiches on Saturday. While Reese looked like she was loving the afternoon with her family, even with her man so far away but at least when he's all done he can hopefully ditch the long hair and keep those muscles.

It may not be as educational as visiting the Tate Modern, but Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish brought Ava and Deacon for a different kind of day trip to Magic Mountain in LA yesterday. As usual, Ryan and Abbie put on their hats — though, guess she's not so blond-again after all — to shade them from the sun on the day out with the kiddies. It's sweet to see that the two little ones have been enjoying lots of bonding time with both their parents' new significant others around the world and home in LA. Of course, some rides around on the roller coaster are always a fun bonus.

While Reese hopped from LA to NYC with Jake, Ryan Phillippe spent his weekend with the kids playing in the mountains at Big Bear in California. I know, I know needless to say, but how adorable are Deacon and Ava? — love them. The trio played around in the snow and climbed on the rocks while Ryan snapped photos with his iPhone. With Stop Loss just a few weeks away, we should be seeing a lot of Ryan (and, um, Abbie) on the red carpet together. Even if that reminds us of things we don't love about Ryan, anytime he's back with the kids totally makes up for it.

Hopefully spending some time with Reese, Ava, Deacon and their adorable doggies will help cheer him up a little. We can only imagine the kind of pain that Jake is in right now after losing his dear friend, but we're glad he'll be there to help his goddaughter Matilda learn about the father she lost at such a young age.
