Victoria Beckham offset Eva's dress as the two posed in black and white looking tan and beautiful. Posh seems to be enjoying herself in LA before her exciting upcoming move to Milan. Eva walked around her party chatting with friends like Heidi Klum and smiling with BFF Mario Lopez and Hayden Panettiere. The fire on Desperate Housewives was put out this week, but the cast heated up the night to support Gaby.

Scarlett Doesn't Know LL and Doesn't Want to Talk About Ryan

Now that the election is over, Scarlett Johansson is back to her life as an actress, which means gracing the cover of the December issue of Allure. She's promoting The Spirit, but it seems Scarlett was just as interested in discussing Lindsay Lohan. In the interview, she has a couple of things to say about her fellow starlet as well as Ryan and her favorite director Woody Allen. Here are highlights:

On the story that Lindsay Lohan wrote profanities about Scarlett in a NYC bathroom a few years ago: "That's what I heard. I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, 'Whoa, what, who are you?' I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times."
On inspiring Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl": "That's flattering, but my lips are kind of taken."
On being Woody Allen's muse: "I don't inspire that work that Woody does. I'm just lucky to fit into the 'young woman' category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn't me, it would be someone else."
On how she started dating Ryan Reynolds: "Nobody knows. It's private. It's our story."

Eva Longoria is all glammed up on the cover of November's Allure, looking nothing like her low-key character on this season of Desperate Housewives. In between poses, she opened up to the magazine about her much-talked-about weight gain, rock-solid relationship with Tony, and famous friends. Here's more:

On her weight:"I've stopped working out and gained about seven pounds, which is a lot for a small person — but I'm still a size 0 . . . I never went up a size. I just got a little rounder."
On Victoria Beckham: "By the way, in real life? Victoria Beckham smiles a lot. She's very, very funny. I introduced her to Kate Beckinsale. How could they not know each other? They're just like a comedy show."
On her confidence:"I know I'm not pregnant; I know Tony and I aren't breaking up. I know we're not cheating."

Aside from the speculation over her figure, all seems to be well with Eva in terms of her family and career. She might not be pregnant just yet, but when that time comes it'll be fun to see yet another new side of Eva.

Less than a week after celebrating Kate's birthday at the Thompson Hotel, the whole crew was back out last night to party the night away in honor of Victoria's Allure cover. The ladies all looked lovely and the gentleman handsome as ever. This time, the soiree was attended by Lindsay Lohan whose lady Samantha Ronson's DJ skills were employed for the evening. It was just another night out for the cool clique in town, who seem like they could be some fun, even if Posh looked a little contemplative on her way out of the party with hot David behind the wheel.

Kate Beckinsale's Alluring Rise to the Top

Kate Beckinsale showed off some smoky eyes and sexy wind-blown hair for the March issue of Allure. She's got a new movie called Snow Angels coming out next month, but quirky Kate was more interested in talking about her early struggles in the industry and how she's risen to her current level of success. Here are highlights:

On her job: "Acting requires so much delving into yourself and exposing yourself, so it's sensible to be wondering, Do I still want to be doing this? But I enjoy the work, and everything is so solid at home. I don't care if they say I've had buttock implants. Or not. I don't care. Go ahead! That's the nice thing about getting to the age I am. I could have said I didn't care before—but secretly I did. And now I really don't."
On considering quitting acting to become a doctor: "I was at the point where I was wondering whether the work I was doing was sustaining me intellectually. I'd had enough of the ludicrous questions. Like, 'Have you had your boobs done?' or 'Have you slept with Colin Farrell?'"
On struggling with her career: "I sort of ended up in Los Angeles by accident. And it was sort of terrible to be jostled into this position of a fame-hungry starlet. Which is so honestly not me! In fact, I could use a bit more of that because I am such a hermit! So I allowed myself to get really bothered."
On her husband, Len Wiseman: "I have a husband who lit-erally worships me. And cleans the house. And blow-dries my daughter's hair."

Sounds like Kate made the right decision when she decided to stick with acting instead of switching over to the medical field, an idea that she had toyed with. Being a movie star with a hot husband who is also into hairstyling sounds like a pretty sweet deal to us.

SJP Is Not Over the Whole Unsexy Thing

The lovely Sarah Jessica Parker is the February cover girl for Allure, and for the first time in what seems like forever, we get to hear about SJP herself again rather than Carrie Bradshaw. In the issue, Sarah Jessica answers back to being voted the "unsexiest woman alive," discusses her unconventional beauty, and talks about her undying devotion to all things food-related. Here are highlights:

On being called unsexy: “My instinct was that it felt personal. It was really about 'We don't like her.' Who were the judges and critics? I would like to ask them, 'What exactly is it that you personally find not sexy about me? Is it my figure? Is it my brain that bothers you?' My impression is what they find sexy doesn’t make them very interesting, or unusual or special. That makes them common."
On her choice of career: "I've always been an actor. That's my job — I can be anything you want me to be."
On food:"Anything having to do with food is pleasurable for me. Any conversation about food, review of food, story of food, picture of food, thought of food . . . "

Love that SJP can take her criticism in stride even though it clearly hurt her feelings (so normal of her). We also had no idea how much of a foodie she is — now if only we could figure out how she manages to stay passionate about eating while keeping her fabulous body intact.

Rihanna Resisted Josh's Allure

Rising star of 2007, Rihanna struck a pose in her fringed flapper style dress for a photoshoot with Allure magazine. She's still got her bob on the magazine cover, but she was recently spotted with longer locks and Bella wants to know whether you love it or hate it. Besides talking beauty, Rihanna gets down to the juicy details (or lack thereof) of that rumored love affair between her and Josh Hartnett that we heard about a few months ago. She said,

"This is what really happened. He and my management, they have each other's contact information. I went to (the New York club) Pink Elephant, and he came by. All of a sudden, the next day, I'm seeing that we were kissing and hugging up each other. You can't even go out with a friend who's a celebrity and have a good time without people making (bleep) up. Well, at least he's good-looking, right?"

Hmm, sounds like Rihanna is still getting used to her life in the spotlight and media. We can't help but wonder if this means that those rumors about her and Shia were all just hearsay too.

Fergie Glams Up And Keeps It Quiet

Fergie got all g-l-a-m-you know where that one's going for the December issue of Allure. The magazine was nice enough to give us a little behind the scenes look at her shoot. How weird must this feel? People arranging your every hair. She certainly can get gussied up and show off her gams with the best of 'em, but I still prefer my Fergie a little more low key.

It sounds like she enjoys that side of life, too, considering rather than throw a big blowout 35th birthday party for Josh this week the two had a quiet sushi dinner at Hana in LA. She even asked the waiters if they would help celebrate by bringing him out some cake and singing Happy Birthday to him. Talk about pressure, singing in front of Fergie? And that is not an easy song to hit all the notes. Fergie may not have serenaded her man in public, but I'm guessing he can get a private show anytime he wants.

She's still not talking about her pregnancy, but Jennifer Lopez did open up to Allure magazine about tabloids, her family and career. J Lo graces the cover of the November issue to promote her upcoming album Brave and a film she has in production, called Love and Other Impossible Pursuits where a woman desperate for children accepts her fate as a stepmother — a plot perhaps mirroring her own relationship to Marc's three children? Jennifer on not wanting to be in the tabloids: “I know how uncomfortable that life is, how destructive. That’s why you see people crumble under the pressure,” Lopez says, kicking her feet up on a swivel chair. “It’s a tricky thing, the tabloids. I know that a lot of people read them, and they gauge who’s hot and who’s not by who is on the cover.” Her voice going flat, she adds: “If that’s what being hot is right now, I don’t want to be that.”
Jennifer on self esteem: "I can do anything. Just get me in the room; do me a favor. Then I’ll make it happen on my own,’” Lopez says. “It’s not that you get every audition, but you make fans along the way.”
Jennifer on looking back: “I wouldn’t change anything,” she adds, “because it was so fun. Even when things were hard, even if I’d be crying in the bathtub because I didn’t get an audition, or a boyfriend was being mean to me, I had my presence of mind. Whatever it was, I always used to say” —in a whisper— “‘This is my life.’”

With a life like J Lo's, it's hard to imagine there is much room for regret among all of her success. And pregnant or not, she appears to be in a great place in her life with Marc and her many, many projects.

Britney Is So Not Herself in Allure

Yesterday morning we saw the September Allure cover, and now here's the full spread. Seriously, Britney looks (photoshopped) to be about 16 in the two inside images. And topless, as reported. She also struck the same neck holding post from her website -- I guess it's a favorite. As we all know, the article isn't the comeback story Allure was hoping for because Brit repeatedly stood up their interviewer. Instead, it paints a sad story about the pop star's life, but we don't need this for us to know that things are dire for Brit these days. There's not much to say about Britney that hasn't already been said I just wish that she would put on a shirt, find some good friends, and take care of those two little boys of hers.

Britney Lands Allure and New Management but Still Crashes & Burns

Britney crashed into a parked car yesterday while out running errands with her pocket pup. From the smile on her face we can assume Britney is not injured from this fender bender. Unfortunately, this crash isn't the only bad story of the day for the pop tart. Britney managed to land herself the September cover of Allure but even though they got new photos, the poor magazine couldn't even secure an interview. The editor in chief reports:

"I thought we could present the profile as her comeback... Britney showed up for Allure's cover shoot on time and ready to work. She was entirely unself-conscious: She took off her wig and then stripped down to the waist, for no apparent reason, before sitting for hair and makeup.... (she was) agreeable and cooperative," but "that was the last we saw of her ... she missed four appointments for an interview... Britney has long lost her role-model status ... Spears still commands our attention, perhaps even more so now than before her life imploded."

The only glimmer of hope is that Britney has finally signed on with new management, Jeff Kwatinetz. Even though Jeff was recently fired by Kelly Clarkson his agency called The Firm also reps super stars like Leo and Cameron so we're hoping this partnership might actually work this time around for Spears.

Jessica's Stupid New Assistant

Not everyone on Jessica's payroll wants to kiss her ass. Apparently the new Cacee Cobb thinks she's too good to be Jessica's assistant. Ms Simpson's new hire has already been complaining to anyone who will listen that "she's too smart for this job and doesn't like it." We can understand not liking being a celebrity assistant but clearly she is stupid if she blabs about how she's too good for the job. She's just asking to be fired - unlike Ken Paves - Jessica's #1 man on her payroll. Looks like she is getting more action with Ken than any other man these days. Too bad for her that he's gay.
