John Mayer stopped by to perform on
The Late Show for his fourth Thanksgiving with Dave on Thursday. John invited Jennifer Aniston
home to Connecticut but most of you would rather
sit with Reese and Jake than Jen and John for your turkey day. The singer stayed busy over the long weekend,
defending his paparazzi antics and announcing a baking contest he will host on his blog.

Reese Witherspoon ate cookies while walking the streets of NYC on Monday before heading over to
The Late Show yesterday looking beautiful as usual. Dave flirted and teased Reese as she told adorable stories about Deacon visiting the Paris sewers and Ava being more excited about losing her teeth than her mother winning an Oscar. We love hearing Reese talk about her children, and now that
Four Christmases is premiering today, we can rely on her and Vince to gear us up for some
holiday cheer.

Kanye West took his cap straight from the
AMAs to the Ed Sullivan theater for a performance on the The Late Show With David Letterman last night. Poor Kanye sounded a little hoarse as he belted out "Love Lockdown," but it's been a super busy week for him promoting 808s & Heartbreak,
which is out today. As the critics start weighing in on his new sound, Kanye has nothing but pride for his new album,
saying, "You know people sometimes don't understand great art when they first hear it, but I am very confident in it.

James Franco and Emile Hirsch were looking suave in their suits leaving the New York Times building in NYC yesterday after participating in a panel discussion about their film
Milk. They probably have lots to say about their movie, especially considering its renewed relevance in the wake of the
Proposition 8 controversy. From there, James was off to film a segment for
The Late Show that airs on Friday.

Guess which celebrity chef was on
David Letterman's show last night?

Paris Hilton showed up at
The Late Show in one outfit but changed into a patriotic dress for her
election eve interview. She headed back to LA last night, but not before her usual flirting banter with "new BFF" Dave. The heiress was promoting both
Repo the Genetic Opera and her
Fairy Dust perfume, which Dave jokingly used as mouth spray.

Ashley Olsen stopped by Letterman last night looking simply beautiful in simple black, perfect for
your more influential of the twins. Ashley held her own against Dave's usual barrage of questions and a fun game of "is this you or your sister." As usual, Ashley sounded completely composed, but still cracked a few jokes like asking to borrow the Sarah Palin's passport costume from earlier in the show.

Lauren Conrad
accessorized with the studded belt from her line once
again to chat with David Letterman in NYC last night. Dave wasted no time teasing LC about
The Hills, but also made a point of making fun of Spencer and Brody to even things out a bit. Lauren seemed to take Dave's jokes all in stride, but she had her boyfriend Kyle Howard right there to take her to dinner afterward if she needed any cheering up.

Sarah Chalke smiled for the cameras while stopping by The Late Show yesterday to meet David Letterman for the first time. The
How I Met Your Mother and
Scrubs star had
Buzz laughing at the TCAs, and last night was no different — Sarah joked about having a round face and told a funny story about losing her engagement ring, while Dave shamelessly flirted. Sarah's quirky charm and attitude were endearing as usual, so it's no wonder she scored a spot on our
10 Most Underrated Actresses list.
