Do You Think Michael Phelps Will Make a Good SNL Host? The first Saturday Night Live host of the season will be none other than America's Olympics golden boy. Michael Phelps, fresh off winning eight gold medals in Beijing, will make his acting debut "live from New York" on Sept. 13. It'll be the second time in a row that SNL has turned to a sports figure to kick off its season: NBA star LeBron James hosted last year's premiere.

Videos like this Saturday Night Live ad spoof for Tabasco's hot sauce carry purse make me realize how much I'll miss Bernie Mac. His earnest delivery convinces me that I need this very purse to feed my nacho addiction. There's even a murse version.

"Sean Connery" on Jeopardy: You May Not Survive the Laughing In addition to doing a mean impersonation of former prez Bill Clinton, Darrell Hammond does a hilarious Sean Connery. What could make it funnier. Make him a contestant on Jeopardy who can't play for shite, but who loves to mock Alex Trebek.

I decided to open up the Saturday Night Live politics-vault, and ended up finding a gem. In 2002, with the 2000 primaries far behind him and no need to worry about image control, John McCain decided to show television viewers that he can play the "creepy husband" character pretty darn well. Check out the clip, which I can guarantee will either make you laugh out loud or cringe silently.

Turlington's Lower Back Tattoo Remover! Don't get me wrong. I love tattoos, but I imagine some of them aren't gonna age so well. Take the lower back tattoo, unkindly referred to by some as a "tramp stamp." How is that going to look in 40 years.

SNL's Lorne Michaels Has Politics on the Brain While Buzz attends the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Hollywood, she's been passing on all things political. Just yesterday, she got inches away from Keith Olbermann (who is "surprisingly very attractive" in person) and on Sunday she took an inside look at Saturday Night Live, which is gearing up for an intense election season schedule, including a Thursday night edition of Weekend Update. Buzz got the scoop on whether Lorne Michaels, executive producer and co-creator of SNL, finds certain politicians funnier than others. Here's what he had to say: Who is funnier: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, or John McCain.

Movie Preview: Harold

Movie Preview: Harold "I'm going over the nerd wall and I ain't never going back." Those are words to live by. Trying to guess exactly how the film Harold would shape up based on the casting news alone was kinda difficult. There is an odd mix of actors involved, including Cuba Gooding Jr., some Saturday Night Live alums (Rachel Dratch, Colin Quinn, Chris Parnell), '80s star Ally Sheedy, and cute young actors like Spencer Breslin and Nikki Blonsky in her first feature film role since Hairspray. The trailer is goofy and sweet and makes me laugh. The idea of a kid with premature balding getting picked on is you know, heartbreaking, but I can't help but giggle at people mistaking the poor guy for an elderly person.

McCain's Been Working For the Weekends Since February Besides a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live, one rally in April, and some hosting duties at home in Arizona, John McCain has taken the last 20 weekends off. Each Saturday and Sunday he plans no campaign events and hides from the media. While out of the spotlight, McCain rests up, reviews policy, and privately meets with advisers and contributors, according to Politico.
