Movie Preview: Madonna's Filth and Wisdom So, Madonna directed an indie movie, Filth and Wisdom ("they are two sides of the same coin"). The trailer is narrated by the main character, a Ukrainian man named A.K. (Eugene Hutz, frontman of gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello), who "finances his dreams of rock glory by moonlighting as a cross-dressing dominatrix."

In her second black dress of the day, Madonna and the stars of her directorial debut Filth and Wisdom attended their premiere last night in Berlin along with festival staple Diane Kruger. The movie focuses on three characters striving for stardom, which apparently hit close to home for Madonna. She said, "If I look back to the beginning of my career, I can recall those moments of struggle like it was yesterday."

Madonna slipped into a sexy see-through number to show off her latest project at the Berlin Film Festival in Germany today. Her film Filth and Wisdom marks the directorial debut she's been working on for the last year, and she was joined by her cast at a photocall and press conference for the film. The movie sounds pretty controversial and racy, but M was just happy to finally get her feet wet as a director.

• Madonna's first film as a director, Filth and Wisdom, will debut in February at the Berlin Film Festival, out of competition. She's obviously a successful performer and businesswoman, but the movies have been her downfall in the past. Let's hope being behind the camera is a better fit for Madge.
