Chris Martin and his Coldplay bandmates had lots to celebrate at their Madison Square Garden gig in New York last night, being the first British act in 37 years to hold the top spot in the UK and US singles charts simultaneously. Like their recent London gig, tickets for the concert were given away but some fans paid upto £400 for a pair. Helena Christensen and Molly Sims were amongst the crowd, as were Charlize Theron and Kirsten Dunst.

Lovely Holly Willoughby arrived looking tanned and radiant for the gig, as did Kelly Osbourne who headed backstage and watched the crowds arriving as she hung out a window.
