Ricki Lake's 130-Pound Weight Loss Holding Strong

At 40 years old, Ricki Lake is a new person since she's dropped 140 pounds from her former 270-pound self, and has kept it off for over a year. She says, "I can’t believe I was a fat person for most of my life." She didn't have surgery; her dramatic weight loss was made possible by all her hard work. Ricki is active, watches what she eats, and has organic meals delivered by Fresh Dining. Not having to prepare her own meals is a luxury that many of us can't afford, but it sure has done her a world of good.

This mother of two told People magazine, "I'm not a thin girl. I’m a normal girl. I don’t want to perpetuate that obsession but yet I am also guilty of wanting . . . to lose weight." She's happy that she's a healthy size, and even though she's maintaining her figure, she says "Something tragic in my life could happen and I could balloon and gain weight. I can’t promise I will be like this forever." It makes me feel better to know that even though she's a celeb, she's still human, and she has to work just as hard as the rest of us to stay in shape.

I want to go to the annual Snowflake Ball. But, per usual, I must live vicariously through the charmed lives of Gossip Girl. Sigh. But a big event never sails smoothly — betrayal, embarrassment, and even hope, are always lurking in the shadows. Jenny continued to make frenemies; I think it's all growing pains for her really. Serena revealed that she may not be completely over Dan, and vice versa. Blair and Chuck yet again attempted to outpower each other but ended up whispering sweet nothings on the dance floor. But the big drama occurred with Lily and daddy Bass – is he or isn't he? We have to wait another week to find out, but in the meantime, Gossip Girl fashion will quench our thirst.

The Beckhams and Cruises spent some time in NYC over the weekend. How cute. While they all dressed their best, Victoria Beckham braved the cold in a slick all-black ensemble that instantly grabbed my attention. She stands out against the colorful street. She opted for skinny black jeans, a cozy black-tweed jacket, Christian Louboutin pumps, a Chanel bag, and oversized dVb shades. All black is always all powerful, especially when your colorful child is next to you for contrast.

Having slammed Nicola McLean for copying her on I'm A Celebrity, Jordan/Katie Price looked confused when presented with a Peter Andre doll as she left a London TV studio this week. She started to grin as recognition set in, but plastic dolls are landing the couple in a spot of bother. This week's OK! shows Kate in tears with the headline "I found Pete in bed with another woman — she's so plastic" on the cover, but the interview explains their relationship is fine and the "other woman" is a blow up doll. The article has come under fire from media insiders like publicist Max Clifford, who called it "misleading" and "desperate". What do you think?

Miranda Kerr and her gorgeous boy Orlando Bloom took time out of their busy lives to stroll the streets of Italy. As anyone who has ever been a tourist knows, comfort is key. Still, Miranda didn't sacrifice her style because of it. She bundled up in a cool khaki anorak and a black scarf. Her Frye boots kept her feet tough, the Prada lace bowler that Eva Mendes also has kept her pretty, while the purple gloves pulled in color. Bellisima!
