John Mayer suited up and grabbed his guitar to perform at Susan and Tony Bennett's Exploring the Arts Gala, a fundraiser for school music programs, in NYC last night. Whoopi Goldberg played hostess for the evening and immediately pegged John as her new crush after his performance. John's
Summer tour may be over, but he was happy to participate in the charity event,
saying,"There's 12-year-old John Coltranes and Miles Davises walking around.

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the
2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm.

Last night the
Tony Awards took place in New York – giving plaudits to the hard workers hoofing it night after night on Broadway – and my girl Buzz has info on
all the winners. Most of the red carpet ladies stuck to elegant dresses in dark and pale shades, with occasional bursts of bright colour from
Marisa Tomei, Christine Baranski and Gina Torres. Kristin Chenoweth (
Pushing Daisies) and
Mary-Louise Parker looked stunning in their black dresses,
as did Glenn Close when she stepped on to the stage to present an award in her fluid number.

It was Broadway's turn in the spotlight on Sunday as the
2008 Tony Awards took over Radio City Music Hall. Whoopi Goldberg — in her
Christian Siriano-designed dress! — presided over the ceremony, which saw In the Heights take home the award for Best Musical and August: Osage County named Best Play.

Today there has been
some fall-out about some of the editing choices made with the many montages featured in this year's
Oscars ceremony. One of the bigger ones is the omission of Whoopi Goldberg from the Oscar hosts reel. As the ladies of The View discuss in the clip below, Whoopi's hosting broke several records, so it does seem strange that they would leave her out.

Well, we all know that
The View's Sherri Shepherd can be a bit dense, but in this clip, she comes off as downright mean, when she brings up the fact that her co-host (and former
Oscar host) Whoopi Goldberg wasn't featured in last night's montage of hosts. The gals then spend the next two minutes trying to make her feel better, while inevitably just making it worse.
Big Foot. The Loch Ness Monster. Steve Guttenberg.

The fabulous Annie Leibovitz has
teamed up with Disney again to shoot the "Year of a Million Dreams" gift promotion ad campaign. In 2007 it was
Becks, Beyonce, and Scarlett, and this year Annie's gathered a new group of famous faces to recreate scenes from Disney movies. Gisele joins Mikhail Baryshnikov and Tina Fey (as Tinkerbell — brilliant!) in a scene from Peter Pan, while Jessica Biel takes on the role of Pocahontas (perfectly cast as well).
