It's time to update you all on our recent competition winners, and remind you of our Top Talker competition for September!
August's
Top Talker winner was
macneil who expressed herself in 123 comments — Well done macneil! She has a PopSugar T-shirt winging its way to her right now.

Calling all UK-based TeamSugar members!
It's no secret that
The Wackness (out August 29) is one of my favourite films of the summer, and now I have a couple of film-related goodies for you to win! Five lucky TeamSugar members will win a limited edition t-shirt printed with a quote from the movie – "Sometimes it's right to do the wrong things" – of which only 100 have been made, as well as the novelisation of the film!

Mary-Kate Olsen is currently promoting
The Wackness, a movie she fleetingly but memorably appears in alongside Sir Ben Kingsley, Olivia Thirlby and Josh Peck. We caught up with the diminutive starlet and asked her about her experiences of filming the movie, her decision to step away from her child-star roots and making out with Sir Ben Kingsley. Here's what she told us:
- How did you get involved in The Wackness?

NB: I was lucky enough to catch a screening of this indie movie back in early June, and was so taken with it that I posted the preview for you back then. The movie's coming out this Friday, so here's a reminder / rundown of what I thought of it!
First things first:
The Wackness is dope.

I'm looking forward to the DVD release of a couple of awesome TV shows this month, as well as the TV premiere of a top show's second series. I'm also excited about an eagerly-awaited book and album, and a fantastic film is hitting the big screen too. To see what I'm adding to my shopping cart and watching on the big and small screens this August just hit "Start."

Yo, if you consider yourself any kind of
Vintage Geek fan, then get thee to a theater to see The Wackness.
Needless to say, I agree with Buzz's
glowing review of the movie, but sitting in the theater, what was I cooing over more? The proliferation of mix tapes (
I told you they were mad hot), the declaration of being loyal to cassettes, the boomboxes and — wait for it — blowing into a Nintendo game.

Sir Ben Kingsley attended a screening of
The Wackess in London this week, kicking off promotion on this side of the pond for the awesome indie movie that's out on August 29. As you know,
I have a lot of love for this film set in the hot New York summer of 1994, which is currently on limited release in the US and slowly opening in more cities as the weeks go on. Ben was accompanied by his supportive wife Daniela at the London screening, but I think it would be fantastic if we get a glimpse at his co-stars Josh Peck, Olivia Thirlby and Mary-Kate Olsen on our shores too in the coming weeks!

I can't wait to check out
The Wackness to see what kind of 1994-era tech they might have, but the movie is giving us something else to do with its online
Graffiti Throwdown contest!
To promote the film,
Brickfish has teamed with Sony to sponsor a contest that challenges participants to create their best web graffiti and title the piece "The Wackness." I've always shied away from making real graffiti, it being illegal and all, but I am more than happy to indulge my inner riff-raff, especially including the grand prize — a Sony Bravia home theater system!

After viewing
The Wackness I had
lots of nice overall feelings about the movie but one tiny little part of it still makes me go, "Eeesh!" And that would be the part where Mary-Kate Olsen makes out with Ben Kingsley. Yeah, that makeout session (because it's definitely more than a little peck!) gave me the opposite of warm-fuzzies inside.
