TV Tonight: Privileged

Reminder! Privileged is starting its new day and time tonight at 9:00 p.m., right after Gossip Girl. There will be a repeat of this episode tomorrow night in the usual Privileged time slot, which is nice and helpful, but I for one will be watching tonight — I need my Privileged fix! After all, it's one of the things I'm most thankful for this year.

Tonight's episode has the cute title "All About Love, Actually" and includes all sorts of relationship issues — from Megan and Will's new problem of Will's job in Brazil, to Laurel and her old flame Miles (played by Michael Nouri) reconnecting, to Charlie's doubts about having Mandy move in (I knew he wasn't as psyched about that as he wanted her to believe he was!). Also, Rose is furious at Sage for telling Megan about her cheating ways and Marco gets a helper in the kitchen: Charlie's cousin, Luis.

Desperate Housewives Rundown Episode 9: "Me and My Town"

While I thought this week's episode of Desperate Housewives is pretty good, I really missed the recent guest stars (Frances Conroy as the wealthy Virginia Hildebrand and Lily Tomlin as Mrs. McCluskey's sister Roberta)! But overall this episode — all about the immediate aftermath of the fire at the club where Blue Odyssey was playing their first show — is better than most of them, in my opinion. Nothing too ridiculous happens (not even, surprisingly, in Susan's storyline), and there are even a few truly sweet moments (like Carlos's little speech to Gaby about why he married her). Kate Moss was a surprise celebrity guest in the audience at The X Factor on Saturday night, there to watch Britney and the contestants do their thing! While hanging out backstage the supermodel bumped into Eoghan Quigg and lent him her jacket as he was cold, but — bless him — he didn't even realise who she was. He twigged eventually, but who'd have thought that Kate Moss would be a fan of reality TV. As she left in a car she looked relaxed and happy, it seems everyone's got X Factor fever at the moment!

Britney: For The Record airs tonight on Sky1 at 8pm, a documentary she started shooting to set the record straight. It's an honest programme in which she speaks about Justin Timberlake, Kevin Federline and the importance of her job in her life: “At this point I have two precious boys and my job. First Look: Kings

NBC's Kings had one of the more infamous panels at the TCA press tour last Summer, complete with star Ian McShane berating reporters. Lost in the drama, though, was the fact that the clips we saw of the show actually looked pretty great. Set to the regal sounds of Coldplay's "Vida la Vida," the show played out like a hypercolor modern version of the David and Goliath story, with McShane as the powerful King Silas Benjamin and relative newcomer Christopher Egan as young David.

Sadly, I never found that trailer online, but a new one popped up on NBC's site recently introducing us to Gilboa, a fictional land which bears the butterfly on its flag (hence all the butterfly imagery throughout). According to the network:

Silas must deal with the tensions rising between Gilboa and neighboring nation Gath. When several prisoners of war are taken, a young soldier, David Shepard, defies orders and crosses enemy lines to save them. Unknown to David, the soldier he saves is Jack Benjamin, the son of the king. From that day forth, David’s life will never be the same.

Sebastian Stan, Allison Miller, and Susanna Thompson also star. The show doesn't have an airdate yet (it's not on NBC's new January schedule), but I'm keeping an eye on it. All the bits and pieces I've seen so far are slick and beautiful, if a little confusing, so I can't wait to experience a full episode. To check out the trailer, just
