When Saks kicks off a shopping for charity event, the celebrity ladies (and a few men) are sure to come running. Last night launched the 10th Annual Key to the Cure charity shopping weekend in NYC where the ladies showed off the t-shirt designed by Gwyneth Paltrow for the event, which is available for sale exclusively at Saks. Lindsay Lohan walked the red carpet solo, but caught up with both Samantha and Charlotte Ronson inside.

Oprah Winfrey brought both Stedman Graham and Gayle King to the opening gala for Tyler Perry's new movie and TV studio in Atlanta on Saturday night. While Oprah is dealing with a defamation lawsuit from the former headmistress of her South African Girls school, it was the history-making event that had Oprah so emotional. Tyler is the first African-American to own his own studio and there were a few tears in the crowd as he took the stage to announce that he's named three sound-stages after the legendary actors Ruby Dee, Cecily Tyson and Sidney Poitier.

Penelope Cruz looked stunning promoting Vicky Cristina Barcelona in Cannes Saturday, but there were two very noticeable no shows — her costars Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem. While Javier, who recently dropped out of a movie due to exhaustion, apparently skipped the event for family reasons, Scarlett's excuse is more dramatic. Apparently the starlet didn't come after the studio refused to fulfill her demands including her own make-up consultant and a separate hotel away from where the rest of her costars were staying.
