His director Guy Ritchie may have had a difficult couple of days in the lead up to being granted a quickie divorce this morning, but gorgeous Robert Downey Jr was smiling yesterday as he was out in Liverpool. Robert is still in the UK filming Guy's Sherlock Holmes alongside Jude Law as his Dr Watson, and was pictured outside his hotel yesterday looking dapper in his suit. But what's that round his neck? 
Guy Ritchie brought Rocco and David to the set of Sherlock Holmes in Liverpool earlier today. Madonna and Guy's divorce will be made official tomorrow after a month of ugly accusations from both sides, and it seems like everything is working out for their kids. Apparently the two will share custody of Rocco and David as the boys split their time between New York and London.

Robert Downey Jr. was dressed to face the British weather as he left his Manchester hotel earlier today. He made his way over to the set of Sherlock Holmes, joining Guy Ritchie and Jude Law to film a scene that involved him jumping out of a window.

Having enjoyed a night off together last week, Guy Ritchie, Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law were back to work today, filming scenes for Sherlock Holmes in Manchester. Guy looked surprisingly happy and relaxed, given that new rumours about his relationship with Madonna are surfacing so frequently; perhaps he's relieved to be free of the "behaviour contract" he reportedly signed with Madonna in an attempt to save their relationship. Robert, meanwhile, has been signing contracts of his own, agreeing to a four-picture deal with Marvel. 
Guy Ritchie was joined by his Sherlock Holmes pals Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law (and Jude's sexy? moustache) at Sam Taylor-Wood's new exhibition Yes I No at London's White Cube Gallery last night. His rumoured new squeeze, Kelly Reilly, was nowhere to be seen, and Guy kept tight lipped about the rumours surrounding his divorce from Madonna. 
Robert Downey Jr. got into character, other than his Starbucks cup, on the set of Sherlock Holmes in London on Friday. Guy Ritchie also dressed up for work as he gave RDJ a few pointers between takes.

Robert Downey Jr was out in London yesterday, arriving at the set of Guy Ritchie's new adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, costarring Jude Law. The actor and his friends were pretty camera shy though, with Robert hiding away into his coat. Following his controversial performance in the Tropic Thunder (currently sat at number three in the box office) I have a feeling that this role will require less physical changes of Robert, and certainly less time in the makeup chair.I'm pretty excited about seeing any movie he stars in, so you can mark this one down as one I'm anticipating for 2009.
Future co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams were joined by Guy Ritchie yesterday for a press conference in London for Sherlock Holmes. We're so excited to see so much talent joining forces for the project, and it sounds like Robert Downey Jr.
