The fate of
Lipstick Jungle seems to be up in the air these days. First we heard
it was canceled but Brooke Shields was quick to
deny the reports. Whether or not it's still on the chopping block, Robert Buckley used his sexy
shirtless bod to make this little video, perhaps as a ploy to get some new fans.

Milk arrived in NYC last night with all its handsome stars out for the red carpet. Details helped host the event and
recent cover boy Chace Crawford got dressed up and his usually shaggy hair was perfectly coiffed to attend the screening. Downtown from his
grad school in the Upper West Side, Columbia, James Franco let both his hair and facial hair look a little more unruly, but he can certainly pull it off.

It was a starry night in Miami Beach at Fontainebleau's reopening party on Friday. Kate Hudson stood out with her bright blue dress as Paris Hilton struck a pose in her shimmery ensemble. Gwyneth Paltrow wore a tiny
LWD and hung out with Alex Rodriguez but it was
Madonna's other BFF that ran interference when a girl tried to flirt with him at the party.

This week each of our main
Lipstick Jungle characters messed around in someone else's business (or had someone else mess around in theirs). Victory's ex-assistant came back to make Victory's life miserable, Wendy tried to kick-start her husband's music career, and Nico and Kirby continued alternately embracing and stomping all over each other's hearts. And that was just the basics.

When Saks kicks off a shopping for charity event, the celebrity ladies (and a few men) are sure to come running. Last night launched the 10th Annual Key to the Cure charity shopping weekend in NYC where the ladies showed off the
t-shirt designed by Gwyneth Paltrow for the event, which is available for sale exclusively at Saks. Lindsay Lohan walked the red carpet solo, but caught up with both Samantha and Charlotte Ronson inside.

In this week's
Lipstick Jungle, I really liked how the way the three women's stories tied into each other. Nico confiding in her friends about her affair (with handsome, handsome Kirby) set into motion several other threads for the rest of the characters: Wendy's worry about keeping her own marriage alive, Wendy and Nico's assumption that Victory can't understand their lives because she's not married, and Wendy's frustrations with Nico spilling into a conflict with Victory. Basically, their reactions felt more based in reality.

I'm still liking
Lipstick Jungle more and more each week, though I still think it's trying a little too hard. I'm still not absolutely loving Victory's scenes, but she and the show is growing on me. Wendy had some good moments, and Nico's affair took a nasty turn.

We're now two episodes in, and I've got to say I'm warming up to
Lipstick Jungle a little more. I did find my attention drifting a couple of times, but... well...

Last night the pilot of
Lipstick Jungle aired on Living — that glossy New York setting felt oh so familiar but the faces (Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, Lindsay Price) were different. The series kicked off at New York fashion week, where — mostly — I wasn't really feeling Victory Ford's designs. And neither were the press.
