Oprah wowed in red as she opened the show after the cool What's my line? clip but unfortunately following her was the reality hosts talking about nothing. It was almost as uncomfortable as watching Ricky Gervais ask for his Emmy back from Steve Carell.

Not everyone headed West for the 25th anniversary of the VMAs, and those that didn't turned out for Calvin Klein's 40th anniversary party at Along the Highline in NYC last night. Halle Berry and Gabriel got a babysitter for baby Nahla to get all prettied up to celebrate with the designer. Claire Danes, quickly back from TIFF, looked beautiful and was joined by a gorgeously glowing pregnant Naomi Watts.

At the end of last week, before the VMAs, crowds of celebs were in New York for Fashion Rocks, which helped kick off the city's Fashion Week. This year it was also helping to support US charity Stand Up To Cancer, and a host of amazing female singers including Beyonce, Mary J Blige, our very own Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Ashanti, Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey took to the stage to sing their single "Just Stand Up" for the cause — check out the video after the jump.
Beyonce also took to the stage with Justin Timberlake for a duet, and Deborah Harry teamed up with Fergie for a number too. 
Justin, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Charlize are just a few of the A-list celebs that came out to Condé Nast's Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall on Friday night. The annual event helps kicks off NY Fashion Week and this year it also helped support Stand Up To Cancer. Beyonce debuted her $5 million 18-karat engagement ring before taking the stage in dazzling gold to perform with JT.

The international trailer for the new Ron Howard movie, Frost/Nixon, has arrived and from what I can tell it looks pretty amazing. Based on the well-received play of the same title by Peter Morgan (the same man who wrote the script for The Queen), the movie chronicles the true story of a series of televised interviews Nixon gave to British journalist David Frost in 1977.
