Josh Hartnett, Jude Law and David Tennant slipped on their ties for the
Evening Standard Theatre Awards at London's Royal Opera House yesterday. Josh is becoming quite a fixture on the London scene, thanks to his role in
Rain Man, and he looked dreamy alongside his fellow thespians. While David will be bringing
his take on Hamlet to London next week, we've got to wait until summer to see
Jude in the role.

Did you go to a costume party like Josh Hartnett and Alexa Chung did on Halloween? They attended Bungalow 8 for a spooky All Hallows Eve party, where Pixie Geldof also partied it up. OK, I guess Josh didn't get the costume memo — unless he's going for 'Hollywood actor in London on his downtime' — but Alexa certainly went for it with grey in her hair, a deathly pallor, and a cut throat drawn on in fake blood.

We haven't seen a lot of Josh Hartnett out and about since
I reviewed Rain Man, mainly because he's working hard in the West End production each evening. But at the end of last week Josh spent a night on the town, at Bungalow 8 and Volstead, trying to go incognito in his glasses and beanie hat. Looks like he was worried about the cold weather, as he was wearing a jacket, hoodie, shirt and t-shirt on along with his scarf!

Last night (with
Lipstick Jungle on record) I took a trip to the theatre to see one of the first performances of Rain Man in the West End, starring Josh Hartnett and Adam Godley. The play is an adaptation of the movie starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise, about a selfish young guy named Charlie Babbitt, whose rich father dies and leaves him very little. The money goes into a trust for an older brother he didn't know he had, autistic-savant Raymond, who he takes on a road trip across the States.

Mischa Barton and Josh Hartnett were spotted leaving Bungalow 8 and heading back to his hotel in London last night. It doesn't sound too scandalous since the
recently single Mischa only stayed
at Josh's for an hour before heading back to her own hotel. With his
official West End debut this week and
pending lawsuit about other recent gossip, we imagine Josh wants to keep away from the rumor mill for the time being.

Josh Hartnett looked hip out in London on Thursday and after a performance for Rain Man that night. Between his headphones and sunglasses, he probably had no problem tuning out the rest of the world and unwinding after his day. It's been a dramatic week for Josh
with his lawsuit, but hopefully it hasn't affected his ability to perform onstage as he
prepares for his big debut.

Josh Hartnett signed autographs in London yesterday, but he doesn't have love for everyone. He's
suing the UK's Daily Mirror for claiming there was a security video of him
hooking up with a girl in a hotel library. His lawyers called the story "not only untrue but a complete fabrication," and asked for a public apology as well as damages for defamation.

With
rumours of trysts in the Soho Hotel library, Josh Hartnett has certainly got Londoners talking about him ahead of his West End debut in Rain Man. The opening has been
put back to September 19, as the play's director was replaced early in rehearsals and they need some more time to finish polishing the performance. Still, I don't mind waiting another couple of weeks to see Josh treading the boards.

This month I'm looking forward to various acting treats. There are two big films hitting our cinema screens on 5 September, and then the excitement of live performance as a major US actor takes to the West End stage. I'm also excited for the DVD release of three movies.
