Ashlee Simpson is ready to pop in the very near future, and her dad Joe took yet another opportunity to speak up about her pregnancy before becoming a grandpa. He gushed that Ashlee and Pete will make great parents and that Ash is officially an adult now, saying, "The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman." We know he's probably just excited, but tell us — has Joe Simpson gotten better about speaking out over the years?

Jessica Simpson performed her first full concert in 3 years over the weekend at the 16th Annual Country Thunder USA in Twin Lakes, WI. Just like in her new video she showed off those famous legs and familiar pipes singing a range of covers, a few of the tracks from her upcoming album and even an old favorite like "With You." Tony Romo was out to support his girlfriend, which hopefully will keep that big grin on her face despite the first review out being not so stellar.

We've been listening to years of controversy surrounding Joe Simpson's involvement in his children's relationships, yet neither Jessica nor Ashlee seem to do anything to stop it. Of course we don't know what happens behind closed doors, and while the media has a tendency to create mountains out of molehills, there's gotta be some truth to Joe's persuasive and controlling ways, or else these nasty little rumors would have died years ago.

Jessica Simpson lost that big smile of hers somewhere between lunch with Tony in LA on Friday and arriving in Cabo with her family last night. Perhaps she was just tired, but unfortunately it sounds like all those stories about lovey fun times between her and Tony at Ashlee's wedding may have been more optimistic than true. According to some reports, Jess and Tony barely interacted all night and only danced a little at the end of the party.

Ashlee Simpson partied it up with the two leading men in her life in Vegas over the weekend. She was in town to perform at the Luxor, but still found time to pose with Pete on the red carpet and get goofy with Papa Joe in their Kanye sunglasses. While the Oscars was clearly the party to be at this weekend, seems like Ashlee still managed to make her own fun in Sin City.
