The big winners at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards were Britney Spears and Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars, each of them winning two awards. Hostess Katy Perry beat Duffy to take home the award for New Act, and the Brits were represented by Sir Paul McCartney and Rick Astley who each took home a gong. For the most part, the winners were American, and there was certainly a theme running through the evening as President-Elect Barack Obama's face showed up on everything from the video screens to one of Katy's twelve brightly coloured outfits!
There were a lot of dapper men on the red carpet at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards. My favourite boys Take That performed and were interviewed at the spectacular show, and they all looked very handsome on the red carpet in their smart-casual black suits. Another of my adolescent crushes, Jared Leto, also played a big part in the show, hosting interviews in the VIP bar area wearing an Obama tee which matched those of his 30 Seconds To Mars bandmates.
Jared Leto was back to scruffy cuteness in Liverpool today, covering up his hair and leaving his eyeliner at home. We'll get to see more of him soon since he's overseas for the MTV Europe Music Awards where he'll join stars like Kanye on the stage tonight. Courteney Cox and Demi Moore's friends and family came out to support their directorial debuts last night at the Director's Guild of America headquarters in LA. Courteney's The Monday Before Thanksgiving and Demi's Streak are two of three short films, which you can watch here, produced for Glamour's Annual Reel Moments event. Courteney said she would love to be a director again, while Demi was happy to work with her daughter, Rumer.

Last week, Ellen DeGeneres used her blog to speak out against CA Proposition 8, but last night she switched gears to host a party with Portia de Rossi in support of Prop 2. Tobey Maguire, Jared Leto and Amy Smart were just a few of the celebs that came out to support the Proposition regarding treatment of farm animals. Ellen's doing her part to stay politically active before the elections in November, but she's also been enjoying her life as a newlywed.

It's always a pleasure to see Jared Leto on our shores, and the gorgeous man was in London last night to pick up two gongs at the Kerrang! Awards, held at The Brewery. His band 30 Seconds To Mars were the only act to receive more than one award, receiving trophies for Best Single (for "From Yesterday") and Best International Band.

Punk, glam, and goth hit their peak decades ago, but a few rocker dudes still sport makeup today. There's Gerard Way from the band My Chemical Romance, who has worn everything from black to purple to red eye makeup. Then there's Pete Wentz who loves guyliner so much that he created his own line of makeup (kidding — sheesh)!

Jared Leto was back to his old hot self hanging out on his motorcycle in Malibu on Sunday. Rumors arose over the weekend claiming Jessica Simpson cheated on Tony Romo with Jared, but they have already been denied by Jared's rep. He’s definitely popular with the ladies, but considering Jess and Tony were spotted dining together in Texas twice this past weekend, it seems that despite all the doubts, these two are still a couple.
