The guys were left to their own devices on the red carpet at the
American Music Awards last night, but there weren't many surprises. Boy bands NKOTB and the Jonas Brothers never miss an opportunity to show off their formal wear, while Nick Lachey got suited up to publicly pose with Vanessa. Chris Brown mixed funky and classy with his leather jacket and bow tie, while Kanye and his tail managed to stand out without getting dressed up.

Heartthrob Robert Pattinson tried to tame his unruly hair for the LA premiere of
Twilight last night, though I prefer it when he lets it
flow free. He posed with his onscreen love Kristen Stewart while
thousands of fans screamed with excitement. The movie boasts another hot young thing, too, Cam Gigandet who is still Volchok from
The OC to me.

About a year ago, when I first heard about the casting news for
The Soloist, I thought it sounded similar to a movie in theaters at the time,
Resurrecting the Champ. Both feature a white guy helping an exceptionally talented black homeless guy. So, I
created a helpful chart pointing out some of the similarities and differences between the two movies.

The long awaited Britney Spears opening included a pre-taped clip with Jonah Hill before her blink-and-you'll-miss-it intro which was greeted by a touching standing ovation and
eventually three moonmen! Host Russell Brand didn't hold back when
bashing President Bush,
calling Palin a VILF and begging for Obama support. He also mocked the promise ring wearing Jonas Brothers but Jordin Sparks came to their defense and
called Brand a slut.

As
I told you earlier, Britney Spears won three awards last night, sweeping the board at the
2008 MTV Video Music Awards. After her
cringeworthy comeback performance last year, it felt like this year she'd finally got it all together — she looked stunning in her mini-dress as she opened the show with a skit featuring Jonah Hill (UK readers, you can watch it all unfold on MTV tonight from 8pm). Rihanna, T.I, Christina Aguilera and the Jonas Brothers also put on some memorable performances, with Pink's spectacle of a performance standing out as a particular highlight.

It looks like the Beckham, Beckinsale, Longoria-Parker posse have a new favorite hotspot. Less than a week after
celebrating Kate's birthday at the Thompson Hotel, the whole crew was back out last night to party the night away in honor of
Victoria's Allure cover. The ladies all looked lovely and the gentleman handsome as ever.
On the Market: Jamie Foxx's Slightly Dull Tarzana Manse
Actor Jamie Foxx, who has been trying to sell his three-bedroom, 5,428-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Tarzana since April, is still asking $2.3 million for the house.

Actor
Jamie Foxx, who has been trying to sell his three-bedroom, 5,428-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Tarzana area since April, is still asking $2.3 million for the house. Built in 1949, the home is located on approximately 3/4 of an acre and features a game room, pool and pool house, master suite with private entrance, media theater, gourmet kitchen with SubZero and Wolf appliances, and a dining area with an aquarium. The house was purchased by Foxx in 1997 for $930,000, so it seems to me as if there's a significant markup on these slightly dull digs.

Oh, Nick Burns, or "Your Company's Computer Guy," is one of my favorite SNL characters ever — he would fix your computer, and then degrade you as only a bored IT guy can. Sadly, I have to say that Nick Burns is a too-often true stereotype. What is it about that job?

While their faces have been noticeably absent from our TV sets for almost three months now, some of our favorite small screen stars hit the blue carpet for the Pepsi STUFF Launch Party in LA last night. A
Milo-less Hayden Panettiere did her best Ashlee Simpson impression with her smoky eyes and long curls, while Jaime Pressly kept it casual with her fiancé Eric Cubiche, dishing about why she's perfectly fine with being
unmarried for the time being. Jeremy Piven just looked happy to be out on the party scene, and we bet he's gearing up for the
SAG Awards this weekend.
