Courteney Cox and Demi Moore's friends and family came out to support their directorial debuts last night at the Director's Guild of America headquarters in LA. Courteney's The Monday Before Thanksgiving and Demi's Streak are two of three short films, which you can watch here, produced for Glamour's Annual Reel Moments event. Courteney said she would love to be a director again, while Demi was happy to work with her daughter, Rumer.

James Van Der Beek and his wife Heather McComb were off to the beach in Malibu on Sunday for a little sun and surf — wonder if they caught a glimpse of a certain Surfer Dude who was also checking out the waves. Heather seemed to enjoy the view from the shore while James and his big surfboard hit the sea. We know this couple loves some PDA on the beach, but this time around they waited until they were back home for their kisses and hugs.

We loved seeing James's passionate anniversary celebration with his wife Heather McComb a couple weeks ago, but she didn't make it out for last night's trip to the theater. Instead, James had his mother as an extra special date understudy.

Not only did they bring us a legen — wait for it — dary kiss last night, they also premiered the long-awaited B-side to Robin Sparkles' "Let's Go to the Mall," a mournful breakup ballad called "Sandcastles in the Sand." We got a preview of the video last week, but that didn't make the ultimate reveal any less amusing.

The moment that How I Met Your Mother's Robin first revealed that she was the Canadian teen pop sensation Robin Sparkles, complete with hit single "Let's Go to the Mall," was one of the show's truly classic moments — not to mention one of my favorite online TV spots of all time.
On Monday, Robin Sparkles is back — this time with a little help from James Van Der Beek as an ex-boyfriend of Robin's who happened to star in the video for the B-side to "Let's Go to the Mall," a wistful breakup ballad called "Sandcastles in the Sand." Variety already has the whole song streaming online, but I'm holding off on listening to it until Monday.
