At some point or another in our lives, we've probably all been frustrated with the medical system. But frustrated enough to stick up a hospital clinic and take hostages, promising to kill them if you don't get answers? That's what happens in this week's episode of House, when a gunman (Emmy winner Zeljko Ivanek) bursts into PPH, counting Thirteen and House among his captives.

If last week's episode of House felt a little like a placeholder that might just be because tonight's episode is such a doozy. The reason: a gunman — played by Emmy winner Zeljko Ivanek — finds his way to PPH, demanding to know why he's ill. As House producer Katie Jacobs explained a while back, it's an episode all about the frustration and indignity of suffering with an undiagnosed disease.

The people you work with can become a sort of weird, twisted family — especially if you spend as much time together as the House doctors do. It's great to have a close safety net when you need support, but it can also get a little too stifling sometimes. On this week's episode, a few of the doctors seek freedom from the PPH family, with varying results.

House Scoop, Straight From the Source Between the House/Cuddy kiss, the train wreck that is Thirteen, and the rekindling of the House/Wilson bromance, things are really getting good on House these days. The show has some big things planned for sweeps and beyond, and executive producer Katie Jacobs kindly hopped on a conference call with reporters last week to help sort out some of the things to come.

On this week's House, a few of our doctors have some major fears to confront. We finally see Chase and Cameron together again, seemingly at a crossroads in their relationship. Meanwhile, House and Cuddy reach a crossroads of their own after their surprising kiss.

I know there was important national business to take care of last week, but it's still a shame House had to take the week off, because I've been so eager to see what would happen in the aftermath of a certain long-anticipated kiss. Tonight, we'll finally get our chance, as House returns to find House and Cuddy (and Wilson) sorting through what exactly that kiss does or doesn't mean.
That's not all, though: This episode also brings Cameron and Chase together again, at long last, though we'll have to wait till tonight to find out what exactly this reunion entails.

The title of this episode of House ends up loaded with meaning: It's the potential name of the baby that Cuddy so desperately wants; it's a major component of the case; and it may be the emotion we're supposed to feel when something big happens in the final minutes. Am I being too vague? Well, this is one episode I wouldn't want to spoil, so to chat about it, just .

Thirteen hasn't been my favorite House character. In fact, to this day, I would have picked Amber over her for the final fellowship spot. The prospect of an entire Thirteen-focused episode of House, then, did not exactly thrill me — but the episode turned out to be a nice surprise.
