At the National Television Awards last night, Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna sparkled on the red carpet. She combined her bright blonde bob with smouldering dark eye makeup and luminous skin. A light tan plus smudgy charcoal eyes gave her look Old Hollywood appeal. 
The National Television Awards may have had some stunning dresses and make-up looks, and I may have gotten to talk to some great celebrities, but really the whole event was about the gongs that were handed out during the ceremony. Four US faces came over to help give them out — Zachary Quinto, Nicollette Sheridan, Michael Urie and Paris Hilton — but the winners were all Brits, as voted for by the public.
In the press room following each acceptance speech we were visited by the winners. 
Roxanne McKee plays one of the most stylish characters on Hollyoaks but how did that transfer to the red carpet? The actress revealed to Sara Cox this evening that she is to leave the soap at Christmas as her character meets a sad ending. Roxanne dressed in a draped long, black dress for the National Television Awards accessorised with chandelier earrings. 
Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe always comes across as being very down to earth. Not only does she experiment with beauty looks, she also seems comfortable with her body shape. This weekend she talked to Fabulous magazine about being skinny and accepting her flaws.

The perfumes are the first ever fragrances to be launched by a UK TV show and are part of the ever-growing Hollyoaks brand. Now I don't know about you, but this sort of makes me like Hollyoaks less.
Last night the 2008 Inside Soap Awards took place at Gilgamesh in London celebrating the best of UK soaps. The stars of Hollyoaks were there showing off their individual style. Three of the McQueen sisters were there alongside Steph (played by Carly Stenson) but who do you think is the best dressed? 
Lacey Turner took home three awards for her role in Eastenders at the Inside Soap awards at Gilgamesh in London last night. Lacey won the Best Actress, Storyline and Couple (with Charlie Clements) awards, and the BBC soap managed to receive nine of the fifteen awards, beating rivals Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.
Jennifer Metcalfe and soap star Tointon sisters Hannah (ex-Hollyoaks) and Kara (Eastenders) were also looking glam, with Kara taking home the award for Sexiest Soap star yet again in her gold dress.
