Helen Mirren was at the GMTV studios this morning, looking gorgeous with her red accessories. On Russell Brand's latest Radio 2 podcast, he told the
injured Noel Gallagher that he has a beard for his part in
a new adaptation of The Tempest, starring Helen. This being Russell, he then went on to
describe his plans to get with her — with Noel's encouragement — saying "I am going to seduce that Queen."

The
Emmys brought out some
gorgeous gowns to the red carpet on Sunday, but a few stars got equally fancy for the Metropolitan Opera 125th Season Opening Night Gala in NYC last night. Helena Christensen and Christie Brinkley showed they haven't lost any of their model beauty, while Parker Posey went a little funkier with her
big bow. Jenny Humphrey was being bullied at school on last night's episode of
Gossip Girl, but in real life Taylor Momsen was looking very grown up and almost unrecognizable in her dramatic red ruffles.

Dame Helen Mirren and Kim Cattrall flew the flag for gorgeous older women at the Roma Fiction Fest yesterday, bringing their on-going glamour to the eternal city of Rome. It's so refreshing to see these actresses smiling wide and displaying those lovely laughter lines around their eyes. My girl Bella UK has got the lowdown on
eye creams for those of you who want a little bottle-based assistance!

Stylish city Paris got a fashion injection this week as
Fashion Week took over the city, with celebs and fashionistas descending on the French capital. Liv Tyler and Eva Mendes represented Hollywood, taking in several gorgeous shows over the week, Janet Jackson also visited the city in a whirlwind and – flying the flag for us Brits – was the awesome Helen Mirren, and Alexa Chung who looked amazing at the Chanel show. Lesser known
singer/model Micky Green gets my pick for looking cool in her funky monochrome look, and French natives Lou Doillon and Charlotte Gainsbourg looked stylish as usual in their laid back and more formal get-ups.

The season's couture shows started yesterday in Paris, and like
last year, lots of gorgeous women headed to the city of lights to take in the beautiful sights. Liv Tyler, Janet Jackson, and Eva Mendes chose between the Christian Lacroix, Givenchy, Chanel and Armani shows, as did fashion insiders like Anna Wintour and Claudia Schiffer. Liv and Eva joined up again last night to let off some steam at the Blue Soirée, a party hosted in honor of
Lanvin's collaboration with Acne jeans.

Princesses, hats and horses can only mean one thing ... Ladies Day at Royal Ascot! In addition to a whole host of Royals a bevy of celebrities popped on their best hats, with
Cilla Black revving up the red and Helen Mirren sticking with classic monochrome.
