As I'm preparing my coverage of the
2007 Primetime Emmy Awards, I'm wondering if you think one of the big four awards organizations tends to get it right more often than the others.

Ever since the flute-wielding Jethro Tull won an award for Best Hard Rock Act in 1988,
The Grammys have seemed to decrease in relevance with each passing year. But this year, the music awards really pulled out all the stops: a Police reunion, Justin Timberlake performing with a previously unknown singer, and much-deserved awards for Mary J. Blige, Bob Dylan, and Gnarls Barkley.

Too bad we're talking in the metaphorical sense here. With Sundance coming to a close, Justin's getting ready for his big Grammy performance on February 11th, which he'll rehearse with the winner of
My Grammy Idol. Five finalists have been chosen, and JT had a major hand in the selection.

One of our new favorite bands, The Fray were looking super cute at Jingle Ball pre-show in NYC this week. We're just loving Joe King these days. The group is having a fabulous year including their recent
Grammy nominations.

Jamie Foxx and Fergie were at People Magazine's official Grammy Kick-off party in Las Vegas. Jamie is having a fabulous December. Not only is his latest project
Dreamgirls up for several Golden Globes, but he's
nominated for a couple Grammys as well.

JT was supposedly
not so into American Idol a few months ago, but has now signed up to be involved with a contest kinda like AI. My Grammy Idol is a new talent competition sponsored by the Recording Academy and they're searching for hidden talent. Some very lucky contestants will even get to rehearse with JT the week before the Grammys.
