A-listers were out in force last night for the lavish opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort and Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, with Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Mary-Kate Olson slipping on their gladrags. Us Brits were represented by a suave Gerard Butler, glittering Agyness Deyn and graceful Lily Allen, who left the balloons at home and accessorised with Rhys Ifans and a reported £5 million of Chopard jewellery. Wowzers. 
Many an A-lister made the trek to Dubai today to celebrate the grand opening of the Atlantis Palm Resort. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson traveled from London to join Sam's mother Ann Dexter-Jones, while Mischa Barton will show up anywhere there's a red carpet. The eclectic crew, which included Mary-Kate Olsen all draped in white, Gerard Butler, Charlize Theron, and Stuart Townsend, was treated to dinner and an elaborate performance from Kylie Minogue.

RocknRolla is extremely similar in tone and format to director Guy Ritchie's other films, and I must say I'm starting to think that his movies are only as good as the actors in them. Snatch is a good ensemble piece overall, but the most memorable parts are due to standout performances by actors like Brad Pitt and Alan Ford. Though not as good a film as Snatch, RocknRolla similarly benefits from some fine performers, in this case Tom Wilkinson, Mark Strong, and Toby Kebbell, among other members of the extensive cast in this convoluted story.

Shanna Moakler didn't waste any time getting back out there after her ex-husband, Travis Barker, blogged on his MySpace that they're not back together in the wake of his plane crash. When he was injured, Shanna rushed to be by his side — and made sure everyone knew about it — but now she is back on the party scene, spotted with Gerard Butler last night in LA. Thandie Newton was joined by costars Idris Elba and Gerard Butler last night for the LA premiere of RocknRolla. They've been all over to promote the film, from Canada to the UK, and it's finally opening to limited release in the US on Friday. Director Guy Ritchie missed this one, but the cast seems to have gotten pretty close after all that traveling — Thandie and Gerard even shared a few kisses on the red carpet.

The MTV VMAs may have been the talk of the town, but the Toronto Film Festival proved to be just as star-studded. Jennifer Aniston looked fabulous as usual in her mini black dress for Management, while Keira Knightley looked like royalty once again on the red carpet for The Duchess. After walking the red carpet in London, the RocknRolla crew flew over to Canada for their Toronto Film Festival premiere last night. The movie got a good review from PopSugar UK, and the cast looked like they were having a blast messing around with each other. After chatting with Jeremy at the Entourage premiere, we know he loves to joke around, talking about his Broadway debut and what is coming up for Ari in the new season.
