After the glamorous arrivals it was time to get down to the nitty gritty of the
GQ Men Of The Year Awards and give out the gongs. There were some fab photo opportunities as the stars collided – Dave Grohl and Bobby Gillespie looked like twins with their long hair, Josh Brolin got a kiss on the cheek from Thandie Newton, and a bewildered-looking Boris Johnson received his award from Trinny and Susannah. My favourite, James Corden, received his breakthrough award from
Gavin and Stacey co-writer Ruth Jones, and Alfie Allen and Jaime Winstone
had their engagement revealed by Alfie's sister Lily who introduced Jamie as "my future sister-in-law".

GQ celebrated its men of the year at the Royal Opera House in London last night ranging from Mark Ronson to Orlando Bloom, both of whom came with their beautiful dates. Mark Ronson had his younger lady model Daisy Lowe while Orlando and Miranda continued to be one of our
favorite hot couples. Elizabeth Hurley may have been of the wrong gender to win an award, but as usual she raised the sexy level in her tight little dress.

The
GQ Men Of The Year awards ceremony took place in London last night, hosted by Lily Allen in front of a room full of famous faces. Lily wore a big attention-grabbing dress as hostess (which apparently
proved slightly difficult to walk in), and spilled
a terrifying story about her friend who was kidnapped and locked in a car boot for seven days. She
said: "I just want to thank the Met Police.

Glam was the name of the game at the
Venice Film Festival last night, as Valentino: The Last Emperor premiered to an audience of fashion lovers. The subject of the documentary, designer Valentino Garavani, attended the premiere to see the product of hours of filming that took place
between 2005 and 2007 – when he retired as head of the fashion house. Despite his retirement it feels like he hasn't really gone away thanks to his
retrospective in Paris, and this documentary.

Even without
Brad and George, the
Venice Film Festival kept up the glitz, and last night the glamour got a little more gorgeous. It was a screening of Valentino: The Last Emperor that brought out all these gowns on the likes of Claire Danes on the arm of Hugh Dancy, Charlize Theron
fresh from the DNC, stunning Elizabeth Hurley posing with Valentino, and Diane Kruger sadly without Josh Jackson. It's only right that a movie honoring the designer has such a marquee red carpet heating up the late Summer night in beautiful Italy.

Proving you can stay friends with your ex, Liz Hurley and Hugh Grant met up for lunch and a cruise in Saint-Tropez yesterday. Liz's husband Arun Nayar was also part of the gang of pals, as was David Furnish, who went on to watch Madonna's concert in Nice with Elton — looks like the two pop giants
have made nice again. Liz and Arun, who also enjoyed
a break in Greece earlier this month, must be making the most of relaxing in exotic locations before filming starts on Liz's Gloucestershire farm for a rumoured
reality TV show.

Are you having fun yet. Here's another quiz to test your
Celebrity Style knowledge. It's getting harder.

So what if the majority of July's Bazaar contains multiple images of Hilary Rhoda, Gwyneth Paltrow, Elizabeth Hurley, and Caroline Murphy. I like them all. They are all great beauties in their own right and I thought Estée Lauder was promoted with class.

Isn't Elizabeth Hurley the perfect poster child for Summer. The model was out and about in NYC wearing a bright yellow Catherine Malandrino top (on sale) and white jeans. Ahh, as refreshing as
a cold lemonade on a scorching day.

After
playing supportive friend to Madonna and mothers, Gwyneth Paltrow joined three other Estee Lauder spokesladies at Bloomingdale's in NYC last night. Carolyn Murphy, Hilary Rhoda and the oldest yet still stunning, Elizabeth Hurley united to launch Estee Lauder's latest scent,
Sensuous. They spoke about how
motherhood and nature is what is sensuous to them.
