Stars came out in NYC last night for a great cause at Keep A Child Alive's annual Black Ball. Alicia Keys, co-founder and global ambassador for the organization, posed with Jessica Alba who was sporting the
on trend bowl bangs. Alicia was able to wrangle up some great celebrity faces to round out the red carpet like suave guys Justin Timberlake and John Mayer both of whom dressed down their ties with leather jackets.

Nothing brings out the celebrities at
New York Fashion Week quite like Marc Jacobs, and last night he didn't disappoint. Not only did
Fab love his colorful MJ collection, but the front row kept things fun. Most exciting was seeing Victoria Beckham's
very short haircut, which you're loving, seated next to Jennifer Lopez throughout the show.

I am not the only one stoked about the upcoming release of Spore! Geeky celebs are getting in on the action and creating their creatures, too. With the
Sporelebrity challenge, you can vote for your favorite creation brought to you by some pretty hard-hitting stars like Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, and the funny dudes from Flight of the Conchords, just to name a few.

Agyness Deyn brought her eccentric dress-sense to the New York social scene yesterday as she attended Rebel Rebel – a
Milk Gallery project hosted by Elijah Wood and Riley Keough. While Riley dressed up for the occasion, Agyness took another route and I think she really pulled off the spirit of the title of the project! She's just been announced as one of the next wave of performers (alongside Five O'Clock Heroes) playing 2008's
T4 On The Beach – with Dirty Pretty Things, Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland, The Zutons and Black Kids – so she's still definitely making her mark on the music scene.

As much as I love London, I really wish I could have spent the weekend at the Coachella music festival in Indio, California.
The lineup was insanely good with everyone from
Prince to
Kate Nash performing to thousands. As expected, with such an awesome lineup, there were plenty of celebs on and off stage, including Sienna Miller, Agyness Deyn, Mark Ronson and Kelly Osbourne who stayed on from the
US NME Awards last week – probably tempted by the fact it's a music festival where you don't have to worry about getting trenchfoot.

A cheerful Elijah Wood arrived at the Radio One studios in London yesterday to guest on Edith Bowman's afternoon show. He
signed autographs and rocked a rather nice
man bag while Edith beamed with her growing
baby bump and Heidi hairdo during her lunch break. I really like her laid-back
maternity gear — she must have seen Fab UK's trend alert about oh-so-cute
cat print t-shirts last month.

Now this is a premiere and afterparty I'd like to go to! Michel Gondry's new movie Be Kind Rewind premiered in New York last night, and two of my favourite ladies, Debbie Harry and Parker Posey, turned up to show it some love. The afterparty in the Deitch Gallery was strewn with costumes and props, some of which you can see in
our gallery.

New York Fashion Week wraps up tomorrow, but there are still a boat load of celebrities there determined to see last call and stay until the lights go up and the tents come down. There are some new faces just coming in for the end, like Elijah Wood who caught the Liz McClean Photo Presentation and Liv Tyler at the Calvin Klein show. Eva Longoria is also relatively
new to the festivities, and looked a bit like she was on her way to a wedding checking out the Naeem Khan collection.

Elijah Wood made an appearance on "Yo Gabba Gabba" to teach kids how to do a little jig he calls "The Puppet Master." It resembles something one might do in a group aerobics class, which isn't all too strange. However, there's something about that one-eyed critter in the back row that gives me the heebie-jeebies and makes me feel a little sorry for Elijah.

This week, there have been several movie news items that have left me either scratching my head or chuckling to myself. Thus, I've collected some of these headlines for a kind of mini-news roundup... of the weird.
