Thanksgiving is around the corner, but life goes on as usual for our favorite celebs and their lil ones. Everyone is starting to wrap up their bundles of joy in preparation for Winter, and the cold weather doesn't seem to be slowing these A-listers down. Check out the slideshow to see who was up to what this past week!

Basketball season is underway, which means we're sure to see lots of celebmamas and papas taking their tots to Lakers and Knicks games galore. David Beckham treated his eldest son, Brooklyn, to courtside seats and a caramel apple. Other families spent the weekend jet-setting around the world.

The stage wasn't the only place with big-name appearances at Madonna's LA concert last night. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Isla Fisher, Kate Moss, and Heidi Klum all made it out to Dodger Stadium see the energetic live performance. The trek through traffic wasn't for nothing —
Britney looked fantastic during her brief appearance on stage, and Justin performed "4 Minutes" complete with some very sexy dance moves.

If I thought Dennis Quaid was hot before (and yes, I did), I think he's super hot now. (Men, it's true — we love guys with a sense of humor.) Basically, Ellen DeGeneres wired him up to receive her instructions. Dennis had to walk into Starbucks and say whatever she told him, while a hidden camera recorded his egomaniacal antics and the poor barista's responses.

Smart People is a blackly comic drama set in Pittsburgh, which focuses on widowed professor Lawrence Wetherhold (Dennis Quaid), his study-mad daughter Vanessa (Ellen Page) and his student poet son James (Ashton Holmes).
Lawrence struggles to communicate with his family and his colleagues at the university where he teaches literature, even though his is a "smart person".
When his adopted brother Chuck (Thomas Haden Church) moves in, the slacker brings some much needed warmth in to the family, which is further improved when Lawrence gets involved with another "smart person", Dr Janet Hartigan (Sarah Jessica Parker).

This month I'm looking forward to various acting treats. There are two big films hitting our cinema screens on 5 September, and then the excitement of live performance as a major US actor takes to the West End stage. I'm also excited for the DVD release of three movies.

You'd think now that Gavin and Gwen had lil
Zuma Nesta Rock, the baby bump watch would be dwindling down. Not so, my friends. We can add
Brooke Mueller and Angie Harmon to the list!

All of the new DVD releases hit stores (and
Netflix) on Tuesdays. So each week in
What to Netflix: New DVD Tuesday, I sort through the best of the batch and tell you what to add to your queue.
Smart People
I had high hopes for
Smart People, mainly due to the stellar cast that includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Ellen Page, Thomas Haden Church, and Dennis Quaid.
