Yes, let's review those facts:
- Director Steven Soderbergh is planning a movie about Egyptian queen Cleopatra.
- It will be a live-action 3-D movie.
- It will also be a rock 'n' roll musical.
- Soderbergh is hoping to get Catherine Zeta-Jones to play "Cleo" and Hugh Jackman to play her lover, Marc Antony.
After the initial "whaaa?" reaction, I'm warming to this idea, especially because the band Guided by Voices has apparently already written the music for the movie. What do you think?

Jay-Z tried on one of the only kinds of bling he can't buy —
Olympic gold medals — at the 2008 Global Leadership Awards Gala in NYC last night. The three first place medals belonged to swimmer Ryan Lochte who we're so used to seeing without a shirt that the suit makes him hard to recognize. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones joined the boys on the red carpet.

The stunning Welsh actress and
Elizabeth Arden spokesmodel was seen on the set of her new movie Rebound with a shorter, straighter hairstyle than we are used to. Her thick, healthy, dark, long locks have always been a mane attraction, har har, but I still think she looks chic with shoulder-length hair. What do you think?

The stars of Death Defying Acts enjoyed the Australian sunshine at the film's press call in Sydney today, before getting glammed up for the premiere.
Catherine Zeta-Jones worked two different dresses,
picking pink for the day and
a monochrome pattern for the premiere — which outfit do you prefer? I love how mumsy she looks with her arm around on-screen daughter
Saoirse Ronan.

Catherine Zeta-Jones hosted the reopening of New York's Elizabeth Arden boutique yesterday. As usual, she was impeccably dressed, and her hair is as glamorous as you'd expect from an Oscar winner. I think the eye makeup is just a little too much for her, though; what's your opinion?

Ever wanted to play Frankenstein with Hollywood's leading ladies?
Some computer whiz did just that. He cut and pasted together a few of the best facial features on Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Keira Knightley, and Charlize Theron to create the Hollywood ideal: Catheinize Zightly-Jeliens.

I love seeing red on the Oscars red carpet. And I'm not alone: Nicole Kidman, Uma Thurman, and Kate Winslet have all arrived in past years with a little fire in their eyes . .

Celeb mama Catherine Zeta Jones had No Reservations about marrying her husband, actor Michael Douglas back in 2000.
And they've got the fruits of their labors, children Dylan, 7 and Carys, 5 to show for their commitment. The Chicago siren may have the same birthday as her hubbie who is 25 years her senior, but she shares her stunning good looks with her son.

The Affleck brothers were the men of the hour at last night's Hollywood Film Festival's Hollywood Awards. Brad Pitt handed Casey Affleck the award for Breakthrough Actor of the Year (an honor
bestowed on one Miss Lindsay Lohan last year) while Ben walked away with one the Breakthrough Director of the Year. That's the second year in a row on this stage for Ben (last year he won Supporting Actor), but it must have been that much sweeter to share the press room with Casey.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Hugh Jackman took on hosting duties last night at "A Fine Romance," a benefit for the Motion Picture & Television Fund. The fund-raiser celebrates the relationship between Broadway shows and Hollywood movies, and featured performances by Kristin Chenoweth, Vanessa Williams and Dick Van Dyke among others. Jennifer Hudson also took the stage, still reaping the benefits of her
Oscar-winning performance in
Dreamgirls.
