A Right Royal Wedding in Merry Old Windsor

The Queen's grandson Peter Phillips married the wonderfully-named Autumn Kelly in a ceremony at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday. The couple had raised some royal eyebrows earlier in the year when they sold their story to Hello for a reported £500,000 but it was all smiles at the weekend as Princess Anne's son and his Canadian partner tied the knot. The Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, and the groom's sister Zara Phillips (who got a kiss from her cousin) were at the ceremony, as were Princess Beatrice (who channelled SJP with her butterfly fascinator!) and Princess Eugenie (with her more reserved headgear).

As expected, Chelsy Davy — who reportedly wore a soft black fascinator — accompanied Prince Harry, and the Queen was believed to be "delighted" at meeting her grandson's girlfriend. Kate Middleton represented Prince William, as the future King was in Africa at another wedding, but the pair of Princesses-in-waiting slipped out a side door after the ceremony.

Flying Officer William Wales Earns His Wings

What's nicer than a man in uniform? A Prince in uniform, that's what! Prince William (or Flying Officer William Wales, as he's known within the RAF) was awarded his wings by his father Prince Charles at his RAF graduation ceremony in Lincolnshire today. Camilla Duchess of Cornwall (plus her umbrella) was at the ceremony too, and contrary to rumours earlier in the week, so was Kate Middleton. While it can take four years to fully train an RAF pilot, Prince William's bespoke course lasted just 13 weeks. Unlike Prince Harry, Wills will not become a "career soldier" as his future role lies as the head of the armed forces. And as King of England, of course. Well done Wills!
