First off, Happy Birthday to the adorable Violet Affleck who turns three today! The precious toddler wore a shirt in the color of her name as she arrived at LAX with her famous parents yesterday. Ben Affleck continues to show his facial hair and short haircut, which we're hoping is for a role since it's not our favorite look. Pregnant Jennifer Garner must be glad to have her husband back at her side after his trip to the Congo, especially with her scary stalker situation. Ben's humanitarian efforts didn't stop in Africa — the actor helped serve food to the hungry on Thanksgiving, making sure to give back in the true spirit of the season.

Ben Affleck Brings His Good Will Back to the Congo

As Jennifer Garner dealt with some scary stuff back home, Ben Affleck was across the world in the Congo yesterday. This is Ben's fourth trip as he continues to raise awareness about the crisis afflicting the nation. While in the city of Goma, the actor spoke out about this violent situation in Central Africa, and expressed his feelings on how people need to step up and help. Here's more:

On what he sees: "I'm not an expert in international affairs or diplomacy, but it doesn't take that to see the tremendous suffering here. It's not something that we as human beings can, in good conscience, ignore."
On why he made the trip: "The primary reason I am here is to urge people to give money to the NGOs and charities doing hard work in eastern Congo on meager funds. And if people out there have an existing relationship with a charity, to urge that charity to get involved in eastern Congo. To let people know, 'Don't just read the horror stories in the newspapers and turn off.'
On the reason he chose this cause: "I thought a lot of people are advocating on Darfur. I'd just be a very small log on a big fire. I started getting interested in Congo and I thought, this is a place where I can have a really big impact."

Ben has always been one to show a softer and giving side whether towards his family or an international human rights issue. He uses his celebrity status in the best way and makes it seem like a given.

Jennifer Garner and Violet had an extra special guest on their way to school on Friday — Ben's mother Chris was out to visit her granddaughter and spend the day with her daughter-in-law. Ben had his own errands to run, but it must be nice to have a pair of helping family hands in town while they prepare for the arrival of baby number two.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck brought Violet to Palisades Park on Sunday and had some fun playing on the swings. Jen looked perfectly primped for delivery with a new haircut and her ever-growing baby bump. Victor Garber, who first broke the news of their second addition, recently spoke about the Garner-Afflecks and said they are a "perfect family" and that Jen is doing "absolutely great" in her pregnancy. We love hearing updates on how this soon-to-be-foursome is getting along and can't wait to see the newest baby, who is sure to be just as adorable as Violet.

Ben Pretends to Endorse McCain While Violet Leads the Way

After getting dressed up as Ted and Fred for Halloween, Jen and Violet were spotted around town at the Children's Museum on Saturday and a bookstore with Ben on Sunday. The family headed east so Ben could host Saturday Night Live this weekend. Jen watched on and then the couple the celebrated with the cast at an after party. John McCain made a few appearances on the show including the opening with Tina Fey once again as Sarah Palin. Ben shared his streak of bad luck endorsing the Democratic party and therefore decided to sarcastically endorse John McCain. He also hilariously impersonated Keith Olbermann. The big day is tomorrow so remember to GO VOTE and then you can get a free cup of coffee from the Afflecks' favorite coffee shop, Starbucks.
