As expected, DJ AM was right there to help work those turntables for his second appearance since the plane crash — which he recently opened up about in an interview and said he "jumped through a fireball" to get out of the burning plane. While the celebrity attendees like Ellen Pompeo and Hayden Panettiere may have missed watching the debate last night, Jay-Z still took the opportunity to talk politics a bit on stage.

Ryan Phillippe was on daddy duty in LA yesterday, and his girlfriend Abbie was right there to lend a helping hand with Deacon and Ava. Deacon's got an athletic streak just like his dad, and he was too precious in white on the way to karate class. Looks like Ava got to spend some quality time with her dad's girlfriend while her brother was learning how to kick butt, and we love how happy these two blondies always seem — no matter which parent they're spending time with.

Ryan took Abbie to Vegas for her bikini birthday celebration in August, but apparently his own early September bash was a little lonely with his girl off in Australia. Luckily it looks like Ryan's got his posse of favorite people back by his side, and maybe a belated celebration will also help cheer up the now 34 year old.

Stop-Loss stars Ryan Phillippe, Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as three soldiers whose friendships and lives fall apart on their return home after serving in Iraq when Brandon King (Philippe) is "stop-lossed"; the US policy where soldiers who have completed their service are called back to serve again.
Brandon hits the road to seek justice and is accompanied by Michelle (Abbie Cornish), the fiancée of his childhood buddy Steve Shriver (Tatum), while those he leaves in Texas — particularly Tommy Burgess (Gordon-Levitt) — struggle to come to terms with life back home.
The acting by all three main male actors is great, and Channing Tatum won a Teen Choice Award in the "Movie Actor: Drama" category for his performance. 
Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish were spotted snuggling up at Tao in Vegas last night, and today they broke out their beach bodies to soak up the sun by the pool at the Venetian. Turns out the happy couple are in Sin City to celebrate Abbie's birthday — she turned 26 yesterday. It's not the most romantic getaway in the world, but who can complain about sipping drinks and cozying up to shirtless Ryan?
